President expresses sorrow and grief over loss of lives of Pakistanis in Riyadh
ISLAMABAD, Nov 2 (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed grief and sorrow over loss of lives of Pakistani expatriates as a result of gas tanker explosion in Riyadh. The President especially directed Pakistans Ambassador to Saudi Arabia to ensure that best medical assistance was being provided to the injured.
In his message the President expressed sympathies with the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls.
At least 23 people, including five Pakistanis were killed when a fuel truck crashed into a flyover in the Saudi Arabia capital Riyadh on Thursday, triggering an explosion that brought down an industrial building and set fire to nearby vehicles.
