22 UAE soldiers killed in Yemen missile attack

Buddy UAE is one of the least populated Arab countries and one of the smallest. Actually it's not that small in terms of land area but most of the UAE is desert with some of the country being mountainous. Pakistan is 10 times as big as UAE.
There are only 2-3 million natives today as well. When the UAE military was founded WAY back you can imagine how much smaller the population of the country was. Yes, HELPED. Along with numerous of other countries Arab as non-Arab. None of which helped the UAE for free.

I don't see anything strange about that considering that 180 million big Pakistan is one of the main military powers of the world and moreover quickly was forced into wars with its much stronger neighbor shortly after its foundation in 1947. When has small UAE in comparison ever fought against anyone? I mean comparing UAE and Pakistan to begin with makes no sense at all. It's like comparing all of Pakistan with the population of Rawalpindi.

Let's be serious here for once and just realize that both Pakistan and many Arab countries (actually only a handful of Arab countries have had such ties with Pakistan in their history) have helped each other mutually on various fronts?

But yes, I would love to see Arab soldiers from for instance KSA, Egypt, Morocco, Iraq, Oman (just examples) fighting against Taliban hand in hand with Pakistan. Or against other threats and vice versa occasionally or when needed. Do I or all other Arabs (outside of the ruling families and the leading military generals and officers) decide whether to do that or not? I have no say.

@DESERT FIGHTER

I have never claimed that Arabs fought any wars for Pakistan. We did not but neither did you unless you consider sending a few Pakistani pilots during the Arab-Israeli wars + Zia-al-haq's role in Black September, sending instructors and deploying troops to KSA that never fought as "fighting warS" for Arabs. You helped certain Arab countries military because this is what you could most help with while Arabs helped you in other ways.

What is so honorable about dying in war? I would understand if those soldiers died defending their own country from foreign invaders.
But these soldiers were there helping to wage war against the most impoverished arab country. That does not instill respect. However I will not go so far and disrespect the death of the soldiers. Even though I have REPEATEDLY seen members like blackeagle etc making fun of the deaths of Yemenis.
The discrepancy in reaction here is mind boggling. Not one of you, who are mourning the death of the uae soldiers, gave a single damn about the almost 5000 CIVILIANS that have been killed as a result of saudi airstrikes. But that is not the worst crime. No, all the ports have been bombed to oblivion and no food or medicine can get into the country. And UN warning that Yemen is on the brink of famine.
And some of you are paying respect to 50 soldiers belonging to an invading country/country who are mounting the aggression. What a fucked up world.

You will also notice something interesting from the attacking side. While there are so many sympathies from each other about the 43 dead Emaratis, no one seems to mention the dead Yemeni fighters among the Emaratis in the same incident! If the invaders don't care about their fallen Yemeni comrades, why would they care about the rest of the Yemenis? You would even find a hard time finding out how many Yemeni fighters died in the incident. That's how unimportant everyone is considering Yemeni lives.

So, I've been thinking about this incident today. This has become the major headline for all UAE papers. 3 days of mourning has been announced in UAE.

Okay, so consider this. UAE has been a mainly peaceful nation for majority of its history. It was involved in the first Gulf War, and 6 soldiers seemed to have been killed. After that, any other involvement has been minor and no deaths.

But suddenly, in one day, 45 soldiers die. This is a nation that since its inception, has never experienced something like this. For the first time, a whole generation of emiratis are faced with the news that almost four dozen of their soldiers were killed. For a lot of the regional players, something like this won't shake the country that much. For example, for us Iranians, we are still finding the dead remains of our fallen soldiers during Saddam's attack. Our streets are named after our martyrs. Our disabled veterans live among us. Our people who were attacked by chemical weapons still live. Our buildings sometimes bear the paintings of the soldiers. So, our generation knows and understands war. I'm sure it is the same for the Pakistanis, and the Iraqis, and so on.

However, for UAE, who has prided itself in its stability and marketed the country as a place of peace in a conflict prone region? What happens when the deaths become the new normal for UAE? Once 45 die in a day, then the next soldier being killed won't make any headlines, making it easier for the nation to get involved in further wars.

What I am basically saying is, if UAE's involvement in this war continues, how will it affect UAE's future?

Basically if some Yemeni go up Emirates A380 and detenote a bomb, it will be the most spectacular fireworks. Fighting a war and running airlines are mutually exclusive business.

If it makes u happy .

world will ultimately come to logic and reasoning. why wars ? why not peace ?

why always thinking of wars.

we already won without wars. others imposing wars on us.

there is lesson if you can understand. Peace (Islam) will be winner.

Sunni Islam land without oil gushing is a land of war and sectarian murder.

Sunni Islamo hate everything. Chinese the model minorities everywhere in the whole world is being hated most by Sunni Malay next door.

This will drfinately happen.

Saudi has seen suicide bombing for the first time in its entire history after yemen war. Dont get surprise if isis and houtis traget dubai and other uae cities.

Proxy and open ended wars have a price and saudia and uae will have to pay it.

it is a part of war taking losses and everyone know that .respect to the UAE soldiers who are willing to give their life in service of their nation

Frankly speaking i have no respect for such soldiers. Saudia and uae are intruders and invaders in yemen. They have killed thousand of yemeni people by air strikes for no reason.
It was saudi who attacked yemen not the houti rebels or yemni people.

Sheikhs should pay the price of war and foreign invasion.

Sunni Islam need to go back and restructure their tenets, ideology and way of conduct to win wars. It seems that in the whole middle eastern region, Sunni are losing grounds despite being supported by USA, while the Shia, being the the underdog, are emerging.

Hezbollah a old brand of Shia insurgence does not conduct indiscriminate killings and rape compared to all Sunni groups. Also gangsterism is no good for developing IQ.

Nowadays war are win on IQ rather than gangsterism.

Sunni get curse by Allah for your gangsterism, murderism and rapism.

You are emotional, comes to conclusion so early without reading post and whole context.
This alliance is in the interest of Pakistan. This is a bless, rich Country asking our military stuff even they can do it alone, and with beasts like f16 block60, f15s, Typhoons and top notch tanks
This alliance is our need, not their... For mutual interest, and continue to helping each other .
It will not effect their health if they do it alone,
but on longterm we will lose last friends too.
Sorry to say. They cant fight and win this war. saudis and their allies have gained nothing in this war.

Their ground troops are no where. Yemeni rebels are much more stronger and have no more area under their control.

Pakistan should never be a part of this sectarain based war.
There is nothing in this war for pakistan. Rich countries are asking our help because they thrmselves are impotent and toothless.

Wars can never be outsourced and sheikhs should be aware of this.
