Only 2 or 3 places I havent been to. This place is amazing

Just a few corrections. I have to say that it blows my mind that the PTDC, Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation, did not know better and posted this on their Facebook page. Goes to show how much on their game the government and its departments are. These mistakes should have been impossible for them to make.


Some of these places are in KPK and not in Gilgit Baltistan.

Dassu is part of the former district of Kohistan which is in KPK.

Lulusar Lake is in the Kaghan Valley which is a part of the former District of Mansehra in KPK.

Babusar Pass forms the border between the Kaghan Valley in KPK and the Former Diamir District of Gilgit Baltistan. Everything that you see in the picture above is actually in KPK. Also the pass itself is behind and above that man in the picture (beyond and to the left of this picture) and behind/below that pass is Gilgit Baltistan.

There is no desert named 'Cold Desert' in Gilgit Baltistan. The desert on the outskirts of Skardu is 'Katpana Desert'. It is classified as a cold desert, along with a few other deserts around the world. People just started calling it 'Cold Desert' because they have no idea what its name is. The exact same way the Kharpocho Fort is mostly known as 'Skardu Fort'.
