Im getting exited because australia is in the running to host the 2022 fifa world cup

It will be announced on the 3rd of december along with the 2018 world cup

Who do use think will be successful

it'll be interesting to see how many pakistanis actually like football.

Countries running for the 2018 world cup are England , Russia , Portugal and Spain , Belgium and Netherlands

I think the chances of Australia hosting are pretty high. US, Japan and Korea have already hosted the tournament recently while Qatar has quite adverse weather conditions for the games to be held in June-July.

I think South Korea and japan are defently a no due to holding it 8 years ago

I see america as australias main contender , Football has had huge growth in america with there domestic league.

Qatar i hear the main concerns are the temperature and infrastructure but i still give them a chance

Australia has a struggling domestic league atm which would really be benefit from the world cup also it has never hosted the event.The main concern i think is the travel between the major cities.

What is football like in south asia? is it growing?

England loses out to Russia in World Cup 2018 bid​

England has lost the race to host the World Cup in 2018.

The country was eliminated in the first round, marking a disaster for the bid team.

It ends a tiring week for England's campaigners in which much venom was aimed at the BBC's decision to air an expose of Fifa members.

The World Cup will instead be going to Russia following a close fought campaign. Qatar will host the 2022 World Cup.

Russia's bid was felt to have been dented by prime minister Vladimir Putin's decision not to travel to Zurich but that appeared not to have damaged the former Communist country's chance.

It will be first time Russia has held a World Cup.

Prime Minister David Cameron, Prince William and David Beckham were in Zurich when Fifa members revealed the result at the footballing organisations' headquarters.

Russia won the rights to host 2018 and Qatar won the rights for 2022 which im sure alot of media will start to speculate.

Qatar took the honours for 2022 over rivals Australia, Japan, South Korea and the United States.

Blatter said: "We go to new lands. Never has the World Cup been in Russia and Eastern Europe, and the Middle East and Arabic world have been waiting for a long time so I'm a happy president when we talk about the development of football."​
