Keeping you struggling there will achieve more than all the pressure on your eastern front. If the Americans do leave and that's a big if, you guys are going to get a reality check like no other. Your purpose to the Americans having ended, there will be a teaching of a lesson like you can't dream of. Keeping you permanently bogged down on the Afghan frontier would be like a dream come true to Indian strategists. They must be salivating at the thought of paying you back in spades. I find that difficult to believe. Every nation would dump conventional weapons and resort to such tactics, if they can defeat the worlds strongest military. Its not a war, its an insurgency. Israel, Sri Lanka, Russia, Turkey have all been fighting one for decades.

Afghan war wasn't a 'military' war for the USA , my dear genius Canadian. At the end of the day what did Iraq and Afghan wars achieved for U.S.A , leaving aside all the macho military performance of Marines etc? Nothing.

Just see the 'stats' of 8th September , 2001 and compare them with today.
