2 Taliban Shadow Governers Captured by Pakistan

Another High-Ranking Taliban Leader Captured in Pakistan
Wednesday, February 17, 2010

Another high-ranking leader of the Taliban in Afghanistan has been captured by a joint U.S.-Pakistani intelligence operation in Pakistan, Fox News has confirmed.

The capture of the Taliban leader, Mullah Salam, first reported by Newsweek magazine, comes on the heels of news that Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the Taliban's No. 2, had been captured early this month in Pakistan.

A Pakistani officer told the Associated Press that Baradar "was talking" after his capture, but there is no indication that he provided information leading to the apprehension of Salam, who is known as a "shadow governor" in his region of Afghanistan.

now thats cool, Yanks this guy is ours, he is going to speak each & everything, So much for their courage but you know 'it happens', so much for their 'invincibility' ehh :haha:

I hope good news keeps on coming & no need to say we are 'non serious in WoT'
Death to Taliban & its sympathizers

Pakistan arrests two Taliban shadow governors

KABUL: Two Taliban ''shadow governors'' from northern Afghanistan have been arrested by Pakistani authorities, an Afghan official said.

Mohammmad Omar, the official governor of Kunduz province, said Thursday that the insurgency's shadow governors in Kunduz and Baghlan were arrested about 10 to 12 days ago in Pakistan.

That's roughly the same time that Pakistani and US intelligence forces captured the Taliban's top military commander — Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar.

Omar said the two arrested were Mullah Abdul Salam from Kunduz and Mullah Mohammad in Baghlan.

Bad day in the office for Mr. Mullah Brother and Mr Mullah Salam. It must hurt Ninja, Funds and gang that ISI is taking out these scums. I don't care why ISI is doing it but I am happy they are doing it.

Regards

Ps : I remember someone saying a taliban loves death before dishonor but these Taliban scum and self appointed mullahs seem to like music hence they are singing infront of a private audience of ISI and CIA. What next a Grammy for them ?

Nice find. Mullah Mohammad of Baghlan too.:agree:

Very cool. Wonder if he was busted in Faisalabad too?

Thanks.:usflag::pakistan:

I am actually curious and amazed that these arrests are taking place just when the Helmand Ops commenced.

I wonder if there is more to this? The reason I say this is that these guys were obviously in custody a few days before the Ops commenced but their news of capture was released just when the Ops commenced ?

Regards

Ignore him. He's a cyber jihadi troll. He must be having gastrointestinal disorders after reading these news.

We'd popped the Marjah district shadow governor in a vehicle heading east through Kandahar province for parts unknown just a few days ago as well.

News was released because the word was leaking in the region (probably through the taliban) and the White House didn't want to piss off the NYT needlessly on the scoop. DAWN's been all over this story though so they've dived right in or were suppressed even more than the NYT. We ASKED the NYT to hold off but you saw that b00b Malik yesterday squawk "Propaganda!" a few hours before they admitted the same.

Kunduz and Baghlan are a LOOONG way from Faisalabad (although I don't know where Mullah Mohammad was actually busted). Those guys may be in Pakistan for a conference that's being...ABORTED for temporary difficulties.

We shall resume broadcasting shortly.

Thanks.:usflag:

Mullah and Aytullah both are respectfull word.

I will say in different way.

Mullanah, or Allama and Aytullah.

Mullah actully came when some religious man like Imam Masjid do things which people see not in a comunity manner they start caling Mulla h to those people.
Please read the History of Islam in Ber-e- Sageer.

Even if Biradar and Co. sings or not, the Taliban have to assume they might and they'd be on the move. This is the best time to nab them. I have a feeling nabbing Mullah Omar right now would end the war almost immediately.

It's quite possible.

Wth are shadow governors anyway? They sit and pretend to govern Afghanistan?
