Do you realize the strategic position of Ukraine on the Map ? basically taking over it means Russia pretty much has eastern Europe in its pocket with only Poland acting as buffer zone from western Europe.

I dont see how taking Ukraine makes Eastern Europe in Russian pocket. All these countries are in NATO and EU, Russia cant do anything.

Russia always had very strong influence in East Ukraine and Crimea anyway. Russia always had troops in Crimea. Now they will have more. So wut? Who gives a damn about Ukraine?

It was a massive slap in the face to the Yankees and Obama.

As I said in another thread discussing Obama's 'warning', Russia couldn't give a rats backside about useless Yankee 'warnings'.

No one respects or fears the Yankees anymore. Their entire empire is on the verge of a Soviet style collapse as their economy is running on $1 trillion QE and 0% interest rates and can barely grow even with such massive stimulus. Their middle class is shrinking and the debt is staggeringly high. Not to mention that their Labour Force Participation Rate is at all time lows. Their empire is being propped up with $1 trillion QE and 0% interest rates.

All of the BRICS countries will fully support Russia.
