2,000 cops deployed for Zardari's Delhi visit

Whats Zardari upto anyways?
First he said its a religious visit, then he said its a private visit, and now 2000 cops...
Something looks fishy here. Is there yet another scandal against army? I hope ISI is watching closely this time...

Whether its a private visit or religious one or official one, as long as he is the head of state of a foreign country, the Indian govt has to provide adequate security. Which is why serving heads should not go on non-official visits, because it is a waste of taxpayers' money for both countries. However, I don't believe it is entirely private or religious.

i'm sure our Pakistani friends would like Zardari to get lathi charged by the Punjab police however he is a international guest so we must protect him at any cost.

Sometimes I feel Indo-Pakistani relations are well off with a military dictator in Pakistan and a Hindu Nationalist BJP in India.

From the creation of Pakistan till date, Pakistanis always jokingly say the same that like we prefer religious fundos in power in America (Republicans), we have historically been better off with Hindu parties in power like BJP in India. When Congress at the last minute backtracked on making Pakistan (which was not supposed to be a separate country but something like an autocratic model of United Kingdom for all member countries), and the ensuing violence that started and the eventual demand for a separate country took off, the hardliner Hindu Sardar Patel was the first one to see that now Indians and Pakistan cannot co-exist. Legend has it, seeing him back off eventually broke Nehru's hardened position against the creation of Pakistan when he famously told Nehru "Ab humari insay nahi bannay wali".

But to work there must be secularized parties in Pakistan

Thats all over the country. Same happens in India on a daily basis. FYI ...all Indians including Hindus are not vegetarians, and mutton is one of the favorite meats eventhough its expensive...but don't try to touch mountain goats..you may land in jail.

Anyways if any Pakistani Premier that we desperately wanted to assassinate was Musharraf due to the obvious Kargil episode..but guess what he is one of the most favorite Pakistanis in India now due to the relative peace he along with Vajpayee pulled off. Sometimes I feel Indo-Pakistani relations are well off with a military dictator in Pakistan and a Hindu Nationalist BJP in India.

for that india has to remove its secular cloak & call itself a hindu nation..........

WTF are you trying to say? Does electing BJP (which we have already done) against secularism.

Not a big number as far as India is concerned. IIRC, when Obama visited India we deployed around 20,000 cops and thats only the outer ring. The inner ring is manned by US secret service.

As an international diplomat and a leader of a country he deserves the protection he is getting. Doesn't matter what we say, he is an elected leader of a country and is representing a whole nation.

When he went to Dubai last year there were rumours that he is seeking asylum fearing a coup. Hypothetically what should India do if he asks for Asylum ?

It is somehow correct and possible. Both military dictators and party like BJP are nationalist as well.
that give them will to take some out box decisionon other way pastry like Congress and PPP are time tested political party with family members ruling at each and every level from president to secretary .. only family members of leaders gets chance. Tom them it is family legacy and business. Those members never did hard work in party from cadre level. They directly get ticket to run for elections. They don't have to build their base among apply.opposite to this in party like BJP one have to start from street level. Bajpeyi had cooked lunch for party leader and travelled in third class of triangle for party work. Narendra modi slept on roads and railway station while working for party. Same for military leadership, they achieve with their hardworking not by family influence. In both common factor is at statt ppl do things for nation with good heart where in imperial parties they get it by birth rights..traveling in ac cars and crores of crupper at disposal.
I still believe Narendra Modify can resolve indo-pak issue in 5 years but Congress can't in 50 years.

. .
this is said to be a personal visit.however he will be given lunch by MM singh.

i wish the security be given by SPG or anyother Armed forces team rather than the delhi police

.
He is a guest and more over President of Pakistan, who is facing a lot of threat, so should get 3rd level security, if we do not provide it, then it would be a trouble for us only.

. .
Waste of both Indian and Pakistani tax money.

Well, we have to deal with whoever is their leader. We don't get to decide their leaders.

I think he is comparatively better than most alternatives for Pakistan.
