Featured $1bn allocated to rebuild Afghanistan, says Alvi

Than we should forget about transit trade with Afghanistan and CAR. With this goes our geo strategic importance down the drain.
We made than mistake first by alienating ourselves and allowed Indian clout to grow now let's prepare ourselves for a second round of useless crying of Indian interference via Western border.
If we do not do it Iran or India will at our expense.
How long are you going to sell yourself off on gEoStRaTeGiC iMpOrTaNcE?

All through the 1950s to 1980s you used this same gEoStRaTeGiC importance to make yoursef a proxy between US and Soviets. Pimped our country off for the Afghan war. You still haven't learnt your lesson?

Build the country from within. Stop loaning yourself off to other powers on the basic of your gEoStRaTeGiC lOcATiOn.

We allowed these people to live in our homes when soviets invaded their country. After 5 decades these same people are now leading separatist movement in our very own country. We dont to feed them our money for transit trade and making any donations to current Afghan govt is nothing short of stupidity. We should wait for new setup to form and then see how we should proceed. Ashraf Ghani is the biggest Namak Haram he used to live in Pakistan and work here and we see how he repaid us in the end. We already provided them billions in aid fat load of good it did for us. Indians Built them a fcuking library and they are licking their arse 24/7.

Iran already has direct borders with Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. What's stopping it from using Bandar Abbas port for CAR?

A little geography knowledge will help.

This has nothing to do with cHaBaHaR aNd TrAnSiT.

Pakistani establishment is still stuck in Zia's time and its policies of making Afghanistan a proxy state for strategic depth. Itni tabahi seh li apne Afghanistan obsession ki wajah se magar phir bhi aqal nahi ayi.

Why the objection to chabahar by Pakistan? Iran does not we do need Afghanistan for CAR access.
The whole idea of chabahar was by India to gain access to Afghanistan and CAR. It is a viable alternate for Kabul.
Will this investment not benefit gawadar?
There are multiple threads on this very forum on importance of gawadar in relation to transit hub for Afghanistan and CAR. When its time to realize it's potential we go retard.

Whoever takes it over Pakistan will loose the strategic importance of gawadar and access to CAR via Afghanistan. If you are of the impression bro Iran will let this opportunity pass to be the preferred transit route for Afghanistan añd CAR pass, you are gravely mistaken bro. It's business at the end of the day.

Transit to China >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Transit to Afghanistan. That is where the true geo strategic importance of Pakistan lies. Look at the threats being brought up against China in Malacca strait and SCS and Pacific, Pakistan allows China to bypass some of those choke points. Chabahar does not.

You are potentially holding yourself hostage to Afghanistan by putting so much importance on it for the CAR trade. Itne mat chukko unke. There are alternate routes to CAR from China which are already developed and much more reliable.

This is nothing more than the establishment's wet dream of having strategic depth in Afghanistan. And you're being played by it.

We are not rushing into it, that's for sure.
This is where you are wrong India didn't just built them a library it spent much more buying influence.

Yes but that is in respect to China. Why can't Pakistan benefit from it in Afghanistan or CAR?

Someone should tell the policy planners to make booths at Pak Afghan gates and sit there. Booths should say in bold letter

Aao Afghaniyo saadi maaro

Alvi should be their first.
Our establishment and its obsession with Afghanistan is mind boggling. FFS help other when you actually helped yourself first.

Alright let India take control of Afghanistan, than see where we end up.
I can not find out the correlation between a transit route to Afghanistan and CAR which is a financially viable project and your argument?
What harm will it bring if we upgrade a few roads?

And you think you can match India in term of hard cash? A country whose reserve are built purely on loans? Money buys touts not loyalties. Afghans love Indian not bcz of Money but bcz they are anti Pakistan. After India if there is any country which does not respect our sovereignty its Afghans. FYI Afghan Taliban also don't recognise Durand Line as a permanent border. Also our trade benefits with CAR are highly exaggerated and we already tried this experiment before but failed miserably. First develop your country to offer something other than Agri products then have dreams of grandeur. It our policy makers had any common sense they would first make afghans agree on hard border between two countries before making any deals or donations.

Still I can not see the relation of your post with a transit corridor. It only benefits us to keep Indian influence in check. You want us to keep bleeding via Afghanistan?
I see no harm if Afghan and other landlocked CAR cargoes move through gawadar and earn some cash. It will benefit us.

Transit trade to Afghanistan through Pakistan’s strategic Gwadar seaport began on Sunday with a consignment of bulk cargo from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
“The first transit consignment of bulk cargo through Gwadar to Afghanistan has started. Several consignments are lined up for coming days,” said Mohammad Sadiq, Pakistan’s Special Envoy for Afghanistan, on Twitter.
“We have crossed another milestone towards establishing our credentials as a transit city,” he added.
The ship carrying trade goods for Afghanistan anchored at the port, which was transported to the war-stricken country after Customs clearance, local broadcaster reported.
With its 600km coastline, Gwadar is a key deep seaport currently operated by China, which seeks to gain direct access to the Indian Ocean via Gwadar in line with its $64-billion Pakistan-China Economic Corridor (CPEC) megaproject.
The economic corridor is hoped to provide China cheaper access to Africa and the Middle East and also earn Pakistan billions of dollars for providing transit facilities to the world’s second-largest economy.

It took 5-6 year
Let the rest of this country's migrants who live in this city by the millions deal with it. This broken sh!tty city shouldn't be our problem.
What kinda joke is this..
Its clear that you just trolling

So 18th amendment again forced PTI to give billions to afghanistan , but not to Karachi
As a Karachitie iam sad and disappointed
@PaklovesTurkiye
PTI Will lose big time in Karachi next elections.

I voted for PTI for betterment of my city. Look what we got Nothing, they destroyed our dreams.

Karachi is already in the dustbin thanks to the Pee Pee Pee they are ruling for the last 12 years, as per 18th amendment PPP rules with impunity and there is nothing the Federal government can do to help unless requested by the provincial governments, I do agree on one point the money should be spent on improving Pakistan as there are so many problems the public are facing.

Can you please explain how other political parties are going to do any better other than PTI the only solution to Sindh is to kick PPP altogether that is the antidote.
