What's new

1971 war a RAW success?

@ Bangladeshis : Dude as much as I appreciate what you guys are saying here, where are you guys in real life ? The only Bangladeshis that I've heard on the Television or met (2 to be exact) or had conversations with over the internet (apart from PDF !), they went 'Apology, ApOlOgY, APOLOGY !', as if, in '71, I was prowling the streets of Dhaka or elsewhere in BD with a machete in one hand and a Pakistani flag in the other !

Secondly, I don't buy the whole - 3 million figure and hundreds of thousands of raped ! I know that our army can be decadent, corrupt and incompetent but two things they aren't are 'Rapists' and 'Butchers', I've had the pleasure of meeting many Jawans and knowing a few Officers ! Even in Balochistan, the so-called atrocities, are committed by the FC which comes under the Provincial Government and has an element of 'ethnic conflict to it'. Having said that some of your grievances were very genuine; there was grave economic disparity between the two wings, extra efforts should have been made to bring the Bengalis in line with the rest of Pakistan by offsetting whatever advantage those of us who could understand Urdu (mainly the Punjab and the Urdu-Speaking community) enjoyed and you should have been made to understand lovingly as to 'why Jinnah wanted Urdu and not another language' as the 'National Language of Pakistan' and not through the iron-hand that the Government practised in the 50s !

Thirdly, I don't want a reunification of Pakistan and Bangladesh and I'm sure neither do you ! Jinnah, as much as I love him, was wrong ! He was wrong in assuming that we - Muslims of the Indian Subcontinent - are capable to transcend these utterly 'mundane' differences of 'caste, colour, ethnicity and language' because if we were, irrespective of whether there was Bhutto on this side or Mujib on that side, we - the People, wouldn't have turned on each other the way we did !

Pakistan Zindabad, Bangladeshi Zindabad and Bharat Zindabad !

Well, propaganda here runs very deep brother. When I was a kid I used to play muktijuddho
with my little brother. Heck I didn't even know that BD was part of PAK. For BAL history of the
world starts at 1971 with a slight flashback of 1952 in vacuum. BAL's official policy is to refer to PAK as occupying power as if BD was independent before. Today's gen is oblivious to history and don't show much interest (even I am part of this gen). It will take time for such a widely circulated propaganda to get extinct. But ultimately truth prevails and maybe your children may not find their Bangladeshi counterparts asking for apology.

I've heard of this before. Some say the Indians killed off some of the intellectuals.

But the thing is, there is no evidence to prove it.

That is because no one has bothered to find out. When I was researching for my book I found indications of an Indian policy of assassination and extermination of leftist intellectuals and politicians and even Mizo's in the CHT. They mainly used the Mujib Bahini to carry out their dirty work. The evidence is there and many who participated in these events are still alive but no one is looking into this aspect of the 1971 war. The policy continued after Independence with the Rakkhi Bahini doing most of the killings for RAW. Most of this information can be found in my book.

@ Out of this 10 millions, 9 millions were Hindus and only 1 millions were muslims.

So have you personally counted every one of them? About 1.5 million of these 10 million stayed back in India, that should be pretty close to the number of Hindus among these 10 millions.

Have a bit of shame, dear Sir, when you guys were killed en mass, your ladies were going through unfathomable shame; we, despite of our limited ability, helped you in whatever way we can. People in Calcutta literally begged in streets so that they can provide some food and cloths to your people who were fleeing a massacre.

Don't just prove yourself to be an ingrate lot in front of whole world.

@ Well as per my assessment of last 41 years, majority of Hindus always vote for AL. It is a proven fact. Earlier during the British and Pakistan times there were some organization like "Tafserry Federations" which were very closer with the Muslim Leaque. Once General Zia and Ershad was in power they were most active but now-a-days I don not find them.

@ AL is a very old party. Its members are maintained like the Communist Party of Moscow. I may support BNP and very often leave it, it hardly matter to BNP. Once you join AL you have to be there. It is difficult to come out from AL. In the past election we have seen the even money is being collected from the "Hats" and Bazars of West Bengal and Tripurra for the AL's fund.

@ It is true that under the leadership of AL Bangladesh came into being but the members of AL misbehaved with the common people that majority is now hate them. AL has now become a "Mafia" Party.
There aint much Hindus in BD to keep AL in power, you know it.
But then again its your failure as a nation taht RAW controls AL. And a Bangladeshi is killed at border areas almost every day whatever be the reason. Its because of your weakness that you have to beg for river water.
I know the reply would be like millions of strong muslims would one day break dams, break india etc.
But you cany deny the reality.
when you have a choice between the life of your mother and an unknown person you would chose your mother 100%. India is doing just that. We are being selfish for our country. China doing the same. And every country with some regional influence.

Believe what you want but i tell you.
Pakistan is our enemy but i must say that they are very nationalistic even their leaders even though corrupt.
Bangladesh is just a divided country. You guys talk bout breaking India but even if we try we cant hate people of our country like you hate the followers of awami league and they hate you,you people are more broken from within.
I dont intend to hurt your feelings but i state the truth.
Its amazing how you guys do name calling between fellow muslims leave alone bangladeshi hindus.

I personally don't follow any particular ideology. So much of what you said there are irrelevant to me.

However from experience, I can say that the presently ruling Awami League is not doing well. I've even witnessed vegetable hawker stands and shops being crushed for not paying bribes to the police and to the ruling MP of the area. So you get the picture and a hint as to for what I stand for.

The BNP were (are) corrupt as well, but aren't as extreme as the other. It is that brand of extremism that I despise very much.

Majority of Bangladeshis aren't necessarily die-hard BNP'ers or AL'ers. They just want good rule and feel a reason to exist. In fact, they are the ones who determine who wins the election.

India? Well, it is more of a pest that isn't getting its regular dose of insecticides. That is as far as our internal matters are concerned.

That's all I can say :D

Division is caused by awami league. Imagine every possible public institutions and infrastructure
named after only one person. BD is very similar to N.korea right now. BAL is known for politics of
vengeance and their student wing far surpasses any form of extremism. BAL's politics is known
for vandalism and street fighting and BNP or JI just pales in comparison. There is not a ounce
of appreciation for any leader of BD except for one and you can guess who it is. Even people
like Maulana Bhashani , a guy who even Mujib respected is badmouthed by BAL now a days.
People like AKFazlul haq and nawab salimullah, the one who founded 2 premier university of BD
(DU and BUET) is never reminiscened nationally when BAL is in power. Anyone going against BAL line of thinking is termed as Razakar, terrorist, or anti-state forces. They literally think the
country is their personal property and when extremist like these exist divison is bound to
happen.

I think revisionism exists on both sides ! I remember that during my studies (O'levels) my Pakistan Studies book talked about Bangladesh, '71 and the Bengali People all in a mere paragraph as if it was little more than a minor bump along the way and not the Largest Muslim Nation on Earth severed into two and our beautiful ideology suffering a massive setback ! Khair I think Pakistan's political leadership botched up the whole situation far, far too badly and they should apologize to both the People of Pakistan and Bangladesh for their short-sightedness and their ill-will. In the meantime, I do hope that Pakistan repatriates the rest of 'Our People - the Stranded Pakistanis or the Biharis as they are called' and bring them back home !

@ Hi MBI Munshi, do you know that once Bangladesh got independent on 16 December 1971, we had been chanting slogan,"Joy Bangla", the "K" force and Mujib Bahini under General Oban secretly U turned towards Chittagong Hill Tracts and carried out secret missions. It is said that all the Chakma or Tribal para military forces which collaborated with the Raja Tridev Rai and Pakistan Army were gathered together and were killed in mass. The figure is something 10,000. Soon some of these Tribal people along with other Bengali Rajakars went to Burma and started for the revival of "Muslim Bangla". They even establish one Radio Station.

Odd. That information is never, ever discussed on the mass media.

If true what you say, there certainly are folks pulling the media strings. Anyways, there is too much distortion in Bangladesh. Let alone transparency.

Do you think there are people brave enough to fight that distortion?

@ Why you want to bring more problems for Pakistan. Let the Biharees to remain in Bangladesh.

@ India was divided on the basic of "Two Nation Theory". So these people have equal rights either in Pakistan or in Bangladesh. And I tell you one day they will take revenge !!!! It is the human nature.

Revenge is haram

Just spray some insecticides on the pest, and that'll be enough against them.

Brother biharis are BD citizens by birthright and lot of them have already been given citizenship. Repatriating biharis will be against the interest of BD as it will only benefit BAL and their indian cohorts. It will be a nail in the coffin of muslim brotherhood in BD and will only serve the interest of slave mentality Indian dalals. Some diversity is good for BD. We have biharis, chakmas, manipuris , khasiyas and ronhingya's here even though they constitute 2 % of the population, they are all bangladehsis. This is Bangladesh not Bengal.:)

Because those from amongst them who choose to call themselves as 'Pakistanis' are 'My People' and it is extremely shameful on our part to piss over their sacrifices like that ! They fought and died for Pakistan and consequently my Country belongs more to them then it ever could belong to me. Also, if we can host anywhere between 2-4 million Afghans who are not only a massive drain on our economy but don't really like us that much then we can sure as hell take back a few hundred thousand of our citizens !

Bangladesh is never divided but a vested interest group is divided and they take the advantage of our illiterate people in turn. Most of the people you see in PDF have infact no political background. They just bicker here but will never go out to see their ideology be sold or fight for it in the street. Just ignore them

There exist a family vengeance when Hasina hates Zia for murdering her whole family.
Real politician like SQ Choudury or Nizami will never disrespect Bangabandhu even though ideologically they are in two different pole. But pawn like Luffy or Md. Akmal will tear his clothes days and night, but when time comes to counter a AL cadre, they will be nowhere found.
