Bangladeshis are not hell-bent on hating Pakistanis as Indians might want us to be. So when any Bangladeshi tries to say something that shows the PA in any sort of "good light", even though eastwatch bhai here merely stated the truth, an Indian will show that he is surprised or in disbelief at what he is reading.

Look, I am a citizen of Bangladesh and a witness to the war. Why don't you believe that propaganda is also a part of war? There were rapes in that war, no one would deny it. This is one of the reasons why almost 10 million Hindus fled to India. However, I have not seen any account that had shown rape victims in those refugee camps in India.

India had produced many documentaries, authenticity of whose stories cannot be proved. Indian propaganda machine avoided to make a documentary by taking interview of a victim who took shelter in those refugee camps. This is because a false propaganda cannot be made out of a real person who is not a victim, but is living in a place that can be reached by international press.

Indian professionals allowed its propaganda videos to circulate around the world to build opinion in favour of its would-be involvement in our liberation war. So, this propaganda was not that bad. But, bad is today's Indians' saddistic attitude. They post these false figures to score a point. Could it be that they get a sexual pleasure as well out of it? But, they should know that the victims, whatever may be the number, were mostly their co-religionist Hindus of Bangladesh.

I never said there were no victims of rapes in 1971. But, you have to understand foreign press was also not allowed to enter and take pictures during the war. To prove your point that there were 200,000 rapes, then I request you to send 200,000 videos of real victims, and not of actresses. In order to know what happened you had to be inside Bangladesh at the time of war.

The figures for rapes and killings were exaggerated, why cannot you accept this very logical thing? Why do you guys come with your circular logic? Is this because the Indians want their two neighbours to live with a victim mentality, and hate each other? But, I look for the truth, because I am not a politician and I love history.

I cannot believe the logic that both BD intellectuals and Indians show to "prove" that 1) 3 million people were killed and 2) Mass rapes occurred.

They just take the numbers of Pakistani soldiers, 90,000, and say that it is "plausible" that if only a certain percentage killed or raped a person every day, that these numbers are possible. Sorry, but real life does not work that way. You have to show some "proof", ie, actual evidence of bodies, or rape victim testimonies. True, women were raped and people killed, and that is a shameful crime, but if you look at the real picture, our side also killed and raped Biharis.

If we are going to use the "its plausible, so it must be true", then we can believe just about anything. The Apollo landing was fake, the moon is made of cheese, there are UFO's which landed in Dhaka last night, but we can't see them because they're invisible(they have advanced stealth tech), the intellectuals are all homos, etc. etc. etc. All of these are "plausible". But not necessarily true.

I saw Najam Sethi's interview in which he was mentioning about this book, and its not that all these allegations are false.
of course rapes were done by PA, only they were a little more exaggerated.
if 30 out of 100 rapes were concocted, that doesn't take away the sin of committing the rest of 70.
