19 injured, four critical in Quetta rally bomb blast
MONITORING DESKKARACHI (updated on: July 28, 2006, 16:51 PST): A powerful motorcycle bomb blast in Muttahida Majils-e-Amal (MMA) protest rally injured nineteen people, and damaged nearby building of Allied Bank of Pakistan at Chaman Phatak area in Quetta, report said on Friday.
According to Aaj TV channel report powerful bomb blast ripped off in a demonstration organised by six-party religious alliance MMA against US policies and Israeli attacks on Lebanon.
"Bomb was planted in a motorcycle," said the police.
Report said "Nineteen people are injured in the blast, while four of them are said to be in critical condition.".
Injured were shifted to Combined Military Hospital Quetta.
Officials have tightened the security after the incident.
