high time to privatise OFB and share tech with TATA , L&T , Mahindra BABA Kalyani & relaince to bridge this gap

Its a Bad idea to privatize OBF. instead the best solution would be to stop reservation caste quota for scientist and invite tender from private companies for production of defence products for our armed forces.

this would achieve three things

1) reduce the cost of manufacturing of defence systems
2) free up resources/personnel of OBF
3) fast production rate and quicker induction into armed forces.

The Socialist era legacy. Assure a person of job and you loose productivity over the period of time. On the other hand, link pay and allowances to the performance on ground, you see competitive performance and an upswing in the productivity levels.

That is also the reason why this government will not last another term. If the trend continues, people who are lax will have to retire earlier than they have planned.

are you aware that due to NFU being implemented, there is absolutely no incentive for anyone to work when their pay is automatically upgraded and is not linked to performance?

also Dabi the recent topper of Civil Services cleared her prelims as a SC candidate. This inspite of her father and mother being high earning professionals ....!!! What a stupid nation we are

There are several guys making drones for nearly a decade-and-a-half now, zillions of people making small craft, some hundreds with the machining and heat treatment capability for making small arms, but no market. Because our bloody OFB has to be kept alive.

The same bloody bastards responsible for defective ammo., badly designed Ichhapore rifle, anti-tank mines that are defective in manufacture and that exploded in storage, killing a score of people - I could go on and on. That is our single blackest spot in defence, the existence of these haramzadeh, haramzadeh ke bachche, haramzadeh ke pote.
