SUPARCO has teamed up with Turkey 1 year ago working on their own satellites. Pakistan is self-suffient besides this is nothing major news. These applicants will come under Chinese team and they were invited for publicity media reasons but make no mistake the station is China's own.. They are just guests for a short few months or 1-2 years before they are rotated into other invites..

SUPARCO ain't celebrating being guests to someone's stations.. It is just publicity stunt you can even see by the invites like Germany and many nato members? This is also done by China to deflect negative publicity for the station and deflect suspicions by others thinking Oh woow China is now taking over moon or space etc etc..

Sending people to live onboard and do research work on a space station is bigger than launching satellites. Of course, we don't expect to be working on anything of a sensitive nature and it does serve as a tech demo + space flexing, if you will, by China but overall it is a good thing.

Pak would be best served resurrecting SUPARCO and at least start launching their own sats for now.

If China accepted Japan request(and they consider Japan as a larger strategic threat than india will ever be) then having india joining the bandwagon isn't exactly news, except to the indian maybe

Dude, this a major snub due to our establishment ill advised recent pivot to the US.

As @kursed said a few months ago, China is fully re-evaluating its strategic posture WRT us and members laughed at him then.

SUPARCO scientists attend Chinese institutions so they are already there as far as trickling down of knowledge is concerned. Now why haven’t Pakistan applied for it. Mostly Likely due to financial reasons, or may be imported puppet govt and lumber #1 don’t want to annoy Uncle Sam because the need IMF money.
