16 Buddhist stupas found at Nateshwar Bangladesh

Can't understand the negativity and condescension towards Bangladesh and it's developments, Especially by the likes of @Nilgiri and @alaungphaya , Posters i hold in very high regard in this forum ,Which is very rare for me believe me ;)

C'mon mates, Any country has the potential to draw tourists if it does the job right, Bangladesh too have it's pro's a rich history, Culture, Archaeological sites and beautiful scenery.. Sure it's not on the tourism map as of now but if they keep developing at the pace they're now and infrastructure grows they could be

Political stability is paramount for tourism and also a relative open society, If they can have both of these to a decade and a half i'm sure they will have a selling point, Especially to the massive newly rich Indian upper middle class, Who are looking at alternatives to domestic tourism

Burma attracted some 4.8 million tourists annually since they opened up merely three years ago, So there is huge potential for Bangladesh to tap in to if they get the right policies

You don't have them as neighbours :D. I wish the good people there/from there the best....but there are many @#$%@'s too...and they are often represented on this forum a lot (and such views by general ok members now and then too)....so I guess I have hardened towards Bangladesh as whole in this forum at least....(RL unchanged)....and then there is often a domino effect on both sides. It happens to many of us I guess.

our Indian masters

Okay no point in derailing this thread more. Some say your master Indian, some say Chinese, Thai, Malay think they are your master, Kachin people say they are your master and we think we are your master. And you fiercely deny these claims and cruelly launch multiple attacks on your masters. Atisha one of the prominent peaceful Buddhist preacher originating from our land would have been offended seeing you Burmese.

Making fun of the Bongos was my main motivation for joining this forum. It's a guilty pleasure. :azn:

Just kicking *** and taking names.

we think we are your master

Ah come on. No you don't. You know your place in this world. That's why you all have a great inferiority complex. Anyway, I thought the Arakanese were your masters and we rule the Arakanese so...

Bangladesh is not and will not be a destination like Thailand or Burma. Its a Muslim country and tourist have a preoccupied mindset before visiting the country. We don't have nightclub neither brothels for foreign tourist, neither we have beaches where a person can feel comfortable wearing bikinis.

Gov of Bangladesh have plans for exclusive tourist zone for foreigners near Burmese border far away from main population center where they may allow bars clubs etc and will attract few tourists from overseas.

In the meantime they are trying few buzz word like Buddhist tourism to attract few exotic tourist from Japan and China. That's about it.

This @Nilgiri guy is from West Bengal, and this @alaungphaya guy had a background from Rakhaine. So you know that they have a love/hate relationship with us. I sometimes enjoy their jealousy. LOL

Lankans and Bangers get along quite well in my experience atleast in places like Aussie and to a lesser extent in UK, Though very few interact with each other as oppose to Indians and Pakistani's.. I think there are a few fundamentalist fuckheads like in any society and places like PDF attracts the worse from all the places but Bangers are very nice people from my knowledge

P.S: Hope Bangladeshi poster wont get offended by the term, Said in good humor.. :D

An Arakanese (of which I am 1/4) and a West Bengali are hardly the same thing. West Bengalis are your people separated by religion and a national border. Arakanese were once your masters and have nothing in common with you except geographic proximity.

Every heard of Turkey and its tourism?

Ahem.....coming to the point of beaches...so when you go to a country as a tourist, that is the 'preoccupied mindset' is it ? No wonder, big blunder.

And @Nilgiri is not a Bengali :D This section seems to be a lot of fun. Should visit more often.
