Two sightly different prototypes.

Left one prototype is developed by Kalyani Group and the right one is developed by TATA Power SED. Apart from some cosmetic differences, the main addition in the Kalyani Group's prototype is an autoloader from ELBIT first seen on their Bharath 52 howitzer showcased during last year's DefExpo. Take a look at circled part in pic.

I love this new trend of DRDO tieing up with private sector companies. How awesome is that both brought out their own take on DRDO's design.

The T90 replacement must go the same route.

This showcase of artillery guns in Republic day parade has indicated two good things for Indian Army -
1. Two potent guns manufactured by private companies.
2. Ashok Leyland super stallions in service (instead of those stupid TATRAS) with the Army & that too with nice camo.
