150 Chinese intrusion this year so far: Indian Army | Zee News

Jammu: The Army today said the Chinese troops crossed the Line of Actual Control 150 times this year and indulged in over 100 face-offs with the Indian forces, and the incidents were restricted to four-five pockets only.

"There have been more than 100 face-offs and 150 transgression by the Chinese army into the Indian territory near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh sector this year, a senior army official told PTI.

Last year, the Chinese soldiers entered the Indian territories 600 times and confronted the Indian troops on 350 occasions. In 2013, 400 intrusion incidents were reported besides 100 face-offs.

"I think both the sides want that things remain calm along the LAC. There is a lot of engagement that takes place," the army official said.

"We had one meeting point in Ladakh. One more has come up, where we will engage with the Chinese army officials. So things are largely peaceful," the army commander added.
Of the September 2014 over three-week long standoff in Chumar and Demchok areas in eastern Ladakh, the official said the matter was resolved peacefully as the militarise engaged on all levels -- from diplomatic to troops on the ground.

"Transgressions do occur because the LAC is not actually defined. We have our perception of LAC and they have theirs. In that sense, troops from both the sides transgress into each others' areas.

"There are only four-five pockets... Not all along the borderline or LAC. The LAC is largely peaceful," the senior army official said.

"There are protocols put in place on how to act and react. Thousands of Chinese soldiers had come across (in Chumur in Ladakh) and not a single shot was fired. Everything was peacefully resolved," the official said.

we need to grow some balls and shoot those chinese intruders.

Transgressions, not intrusions, occur along Sino-India border - there are areas along the border where India and China have differing perception of LAC and transgressions occur, on occasions, on account of both sides undertaking patrolling up to their respective perception of LAC.

Last year during Xi-Modi talks China alleged that IA patrols intruded into Chinese territory violating LAC 410 times whereas in turn India alleged that PLA patrols violated LAC 334 times.

China says Indian troops intruded into Chinese territory violating LAC 410 times this Year!

Transgressions or intrusions we need to act strong. we are behaving like soft state. chinese are our enemies we need to accept this fact. they are never going to give our land peacefully.

This is what happens when foreigners get to know the meaning Atithi Devo Bhava... :hitwall:

no offense but our Neighbors don't have the guts to retaliate:bunny:

'The guest is equivalent to God' but when guests try to show themselves as our Gods then this shows the intentions of those guests.

The mantras are from the Taittiriya Upanishad, Shikshavalli I.20 that says: matrudevo bhava, pitrudevo bhava, acharyadevo bhava, atithidevo bhava. It literally means "be one for whom the Mother is God, be one for whom the Father is God, be one for whom the Teacher is God, be one for whom the guest is God." matrudevah, pitrudevah, acharyadevah, atithidevah are one word each, and each one is a Bahuvrihi samasta-pada.

Don't be stupid. 150 intrusions but not a single shot fired in anger is a something to be praised (for both sides).
Come out of hindi chini bhai bhai mentality. They are our enemies. If we don't realise this there will be another blunder like 1962.

Hope for the best, prepare for the worst is my philosophy. India needs to ramp up its military capacity (especially its logistics )along the Eastern sector BUT that does not mean it should not be working towards long term peace with China. Together India and China can do simply mind blowing things that WILL change the face of the world we live in but given their proximity and converging power spheres there will always be an underlining tension and unease between the two sides. As such India should be in a position where China knows it is not worth messing with it.

As Mr Doval has articulated, being weak is an invitation to a rival, but having power does not mean you have to use it.

Limited resources and billion plus population dictates Indian and Chinese interests are increasingly going to be in conflict. This is inevitable - can be delayed but never denied.

Even if we have nothing but friendly intentions towards each other in the coming time it would come down to two dogs fighting over a single bone. So better we keep up pretenses as long as we can at the same time keep sharpening our swords behind our back.

Chinese are having way more disputes in South China sea.

Protesters hold lit candles during a prayer-rally at the Chinese Consulate to protest recent moves by China in island-building at the disputed group of islands in the South China Sea.
