I am Gujarati and I know what happened! Actually that is the reason why riots happened.

Godhra is Muslim majority village where 59 Hindus were burnt alive because they went to visit their holy place 'Rama Janmabhoomi' which is where Babri was situated. And they went for pilgrim soon after Babri demolition and religious sentiments were all time high at that time!

And NO RAPING took place! Out of 1500 total deaths in the state. Most of them were due to clashes between two groups and some stabbings.

wow sum1 frm gujarat and still doesnt kno basic facts about the incident. sweety the babri masjid was demolished in 1992 not 2002. many of the 2002 riot victims were raped, hacked and burned alive. babu bajrangi who led a pack of hindu rioters admitted on camera that he burned muslims alive "because muslims were scared of cremation". he admitted on camera that he slashed open a pregnant womans womb and held up the fetus on the sword. he openly declared that he was out to exterminate muslims at any cost.

either u "a gujarati" who was unaffected by the riots and unaware of even basic details of the riots is telling the truth. or those thousands of survivors, victims & family members are family members r telling the truth.

instead of watching bjp news tv maybe u shud watch this "banned" documentary to get a reality check of what really happened. but obviously u wont cause the riots werent THAT BAD and they were a NATURAL REACTION and SPONTANEOUS REACTION rite!!

had this been the other way around (muslim rioters killing hindus i can bet my life that this documentary wud not have been banned in india)
