this is strange. the selection criteria is very hard. getting so many passing out officers from one tribe is a big deal. hopefully the merit was not relaxed for the names sake and I am sure it wouldnt have
that said. Kalpar Bughtis are the biggest sub tribe among the Bughtis and have supported Musharraf for his help in protecting them from thug chieftains.

I have no idea about their population but more important is the level of education because for commissioned officer a minimum of 12-years of schooling is required and that too with a reasonable grades. I think it depends more on the nature, aptitude and education of the people. From my extended family, at least 10 people (mostly men) are serving in Pakistan armed forces at any given time as commissioned officers.
