No man, most of Bosnia have positive opinion of Pakistan. I think if there is any criticism, its more to do with corruption and poverty, but overall we consider you to be a friendly country

The problem is the culture in countries like Afghanistan and Pakistan and many other countries (including many parts of Turkey). It's horrible facts what you just mentioned, the cruelties against women, it doesn't take place in Islam, but it is more an old tradition which some people thinks has links with Islam. But they are wrong.

So I agree very much with what you say, something which doesn't find place in Quran or Sunnah is not from Islam. Problem with some Muslim countries and societies is not Islam as well, it is the individuals (the Muslims), misguided people.

And reintrepreting a holy book is changing its real meaning. Just because 99% of Denmark today drinks alcohol can't we say "it is then normal to drink alcohol" and by that reason it should also be "allowed" for those who lives in Denmark. This is very very wrong, if anyone thinks this way, since you are making your own rules which leads you away from the real rulings and regulations of Islam, which makes you now a none-Muslim.

I hope you understand how sensitive this issue is. And I am therefore highly against it. Reinterpretation of Islam/Qur'an will also make more sects, every country would intepret it otherwise that suits them best.

I heard about Allama Iqbal only by name, and I really don't know much about him. But I know about people talking about "reintrepreting" Islam, and I personally think it is a dangerous tool, which europeans/americans and the rest of the world would really enjoy.

It is simply because of the fact that Qur'an promises us to protect it's holyness until the day of judgement, and none will be able to change it even though many will try.
