Survey Reveals Americans In Favour of Nuking Civilians

I've very recently read an alarming study by MIT Press that surveyed America's - and I stress, this is a survey asking ordinary people, not government officials - willingness to kill civilians under certain circumstances. As the title implies, it is not good.


The nuking of Nagasaki. The scenarios in the survey were designed to emulate the real life events of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.​

I'm sure many of my readers (though I'm not sure one can quantify my readers as "many") have seen the below illustration depicting the basic results of this very survey. I myself had seen it months ago. But until I had read the report in detail (though still not all of it), I had not fully appreciated the gravity of the situation.




Let us get this out of the way. In a hypothetical war, nearly 60% of Americans would approve of a decision by the USG to conduct a nuclear strike on Mashhad, killing 2,000,000 civilians, if that avoided a ground war that would cost 20,000 US troops. The difference in numbers is staggering. The lack of care for the lives of civilians is abhorrent. Turn that into a conventional airstrike, killing "only" 100,000 Iranian civilians, and slightly over 1 third of Americans would actively make the decision to kill the Iranian civilians.

the US outright killed about 15% of an entire nations civilian population in a genocidal "carpet bombing" campaign to prevent a humiliating defeat (which they were unable to )

the only nation in human history to not only use nuclear weapons , but do so in an offensive way specifically targeting civilians.

there has hardly been a war they fought where they haven't used maximum military muscle to achieve their military aims. which usually involves the slaughter of innocent civilains on an industrial scale....

but its all ok, because they are a democrazyz!!! and they have powerful, well funded "mainstream media" entity's brainwashing their public, telling them they are the good guys!!! and the hundreds of thousands of civilians they slaughtered either deserved it, or was actually someone elses fault.

then they go into stories of how some murican soldier gave a bottle of water to that 1 kid (shortly after americans planes had probably slaughtered half his village, destroyed his way of life etcetc...) And all will be hailing the wunderbar murican soldiers, putting their lives on the line to help those savage 3rd world people escape some sort of oppression!!!1

murican warefare 101... Highly effective.

Well, when they are brain washed day and night through media and their politicians that Iranians have nothing else to do but think day and night how to screw US and its Citizens, then this is what you get.

They shot down that iranian passenger aircraft and never even apologised ,killed 500,000 iraqi children from starvations and sanctions(madeline albright even infamously said it was worth it) used agent orange in vietnam and are the only country use nuclear weapons on a civilian population but even once wasn't enough and much of the country is dumbed down and brainwashed into blindly supporting the troops. Considering they have been involved in perpetual conflict for hundreds of years and their well known habit of glorifying war their thirst for blood is hardly surprising it's probably in their genetics or something at this point. I mean the entire country was won by the gun and built of mass genocide,slavery and military conquest .
The truth is they have NEVER been the "good guys" but because they are a superpower and history is written by the winners they can portray themselves how they want, dictating the world narrative and nobody can do anything. Thankfully their empire is coming to an end and their failure in syria is another sign of this.
