What's new

How do indian muslims see pakistan.

it would be the same as how the Pakistani minorities view India. Most people would be patriotic to their country regardless of their religious affiliations. So it would be same for Indian Muslims, except Kashmirs.
best answer brother

I was much interested to know your opinion on this matter.
What would the assumptions be to refuse such an alliance? Your reply might be the answer to the whole thread.
Common trend for Indian Muslims to marry Pakistanis.

What do you mean not really? I personally know many Pakistanis married to Indian Muslims from the state of Gujurat!

I'd say "some" and it's a growing tend, usually Indian Muslim girl and Pakistani lad.

Not really.
I would not marry an Indian.
Different culture now.

Culture plays a huge role. There is way too much of a difference.

It's a mix of things, which include; they are too temperamental, cultural differences, too extreme in terms of faith, education and erm don't trust them lol.

My uncle was a head chef at a Restaurent in Yorkshire and during the peak Asian wedding season there was atleast one wedding every fortnight between a Pakistani and an Indian Muslim. Yes mainly boys marrying Indian girls but now there are also Pakistani women marrying Indian Muslim men. More and more Pakistanis are studying at universities and meeting thier future spous. Saying Pakistanis are also marrying Morrocons Tunisians Libyans Turks Kurds etc.

Yes it is just a few. But it's increasing, although at a slow rate.

I have close family and friends living in East London, where you have the biggest Indian Muslim community outside Blackburn in Leytonstone, living alongside one of the biggest Pakistani communities in Walthamstow. The marriages between them do happen, but they are very, very small number. Like you said it's mostly Indian girls and Pakistani boys, you get the odd Pakistani girl but it is very rare. Pakistanis would simply be up in arms over an Indian Muslim male asking for their daughter's hand, it won't be entertained. For the most part the Pakistanis in the UK also hail from AJK region and they have very negative views of Indians period.

There are big differeces. The problem is that the Muslims who were close to Pakistanis i.e. the folk of East Punjab left during the partition. You have some outlying communities in the North of India, and of course the Kashmiris. Truth being told they have virtually nothing in common with the Kashmiris, Darda folk, Baloch, Pakhtuns, Punjabis and Sindhis. There is some common ground with those who migrated, for example my ex boss was from India, Hyderabad, and he had very close family in Karachi and had visited Pakistan many times.

Slightly different story in the northan mill towns of Lancashire which have large communities of Gujjur Punjabis from the city of Gujarat (not to be confused with the Indian state of Gujarat) all of the Indo Pak marriages are love marriages between two people who met eachother at college or university.
