How do indian muslims see pakistan.

Well firstly nearly every Indian Muslim I have met has been incredibly patriotic, it didn't matter whether they came from Gujarat, UP or the South. In actual fact most of the teasing and banter about cricket and the Pakistan V India rivalry was from the Indian Muslims, where as their Sikh and Hindu counterparts were not that bothered. Most tend to be well mannered and polite.

I have come across haters, although they did it in a subtle manner i.e. blaming our forefathers for splitting India and weakening the Muslims. This bunch, in my opinion, has steadily grown to quite a substantial part of the population.

In terms of Kashmir, nothing. They are steadfast in the belief that it's part of India, and they can take care of the needs of Kashmiris.

What else? They don't really mix at all with the Pakistani community here, and there are communities of Indian Muslims living near Pakistani communities e.g. Blackburn, London etc. They have their own mosques and centres, so have a separate identity when it comes to faith.

Oh and Indian Muslim females tend to be quite fit. But marrying a Pakistani is frowned upon, even though there is a growing numbers of girls from the community marrying Pakistani males. But the male is scrutinised, interrogated and it's literally a battle to get her folks to agree.

There has never been any real tension, and erm that's it.

My experience is anti-thetically different from yours and I have a lot friends who shared their interactions with Muslims from india and most of them have endorsed my experience. Depends on what kind of community you interact with.. The libturds in Pakistan are self-haters despite being Pakistani and living in Pakistan..they speak against Pakistan and its culture and Islam so if you meet such libturd Muslims from India, no wonder you will get what you quoted and it is totally possible that you are honest in your opinion but as I said depends on what community to interacted...or even more importantly, how Pakistani community in UK is perceived and behaves ( as I'm not very sure of their image). I had three classmates from india , one of them was Muslim, and most of the time he hung out with me, did assignment and projects with me though we never discussed politics but he used to ask a lot question about Pakistan and how we live there etc. So I can't say he was not patriotic or hated india but at least he liked Pakistan and I never heard anything bad about Pakistan from him and yeah he supported Pakistan cricket team..

(How can it be when you said I) Sir the religious narrative you are talking here about the "we Indus" and "them Ganga" and the "other Peninsular Dravida" is a sectarian divide and an undermine to each of that "varna's" struggle for existence. They opted to choose for themselves and for their offsprings what they thought is best. I mean kudos to their thinking when we see the how resilient we are when we still fight for our existence even today

But then I guess even after 4000 years we still find comfort in "temporal substitutes" for our legacy in ascertaining what exactly we are!!!

What would the assumptions be to refuse such an alliance? Your reply might be the answer to the whole thread.

i go there very frequently. apparently there's more mosques per square mile than any other place in the uk.


as for indians........nobody cares. they both mix quiet well. and its true they do marry pakistanis and vice versa.
i dont know about the mosque bit though id have to ask.
but theres a bit of banter of indians eating rice and daal (im i saying it right).

A few minority of the older generation maybe but not the vast majority of people in Pakistan particularly the young. They know virtually nothing about india.

But the fact is that ALL young Pakistanis are very curious to know about India

And the fact that India has 180 Million Muslims does have
an impact on Pakistani minds
