What's new

MKI on the highway !

What's the big deal landing on road or not.

It means nothing

Paf lacks strategic depth and it's bass would be severely damaged by Indian military they need to plan for such llikeky events
Then that must also be the reason your country is having a go at it knowing well that PAF will decimate all it's bases and assets in the initial stages of war.

Doubt Pakistan has the capability to take out "all" Indian airbases.India has a far denser AD environment.
These moves are practiced keeping in mind, the Eastern adversary.

Decimate with what? There is not a single PAF jet with that kind range to destroy all airfields of India, unless u are planning to deploy aircrafts of PIA to drop bombs.
It's something for the Indians to guess and for us to know.
Anyways my reply was to the Indian fanboy unless off course you also agree with his wishful thinking.

He is right. Pakistan lacks the vast depth that India has and the PAF rightly uses all these techniques to counter any eventuality.
“They landed on the road in this, yes. That is something they have been doing for years,” PAF spokesperson Commodore Javed Mohammad Ali said. The drill was needed “in case your runways get damaged or they are not available for you,” he added.

Well going by that logic, since India has the depth, why is it practicing the same or at least trying.
Perhaps it's just that countries prepare for any eventuality.

To prepare for the worst case scenario of a two front war.
PAF might lack deep penetration capabilities, PLAAF does not.

Yes but not because Pak can, as you've said but because of the PLA.

I'm sure memories of Pathankot , Adampur and Srinagar haven't left the IAF minds.

You be surprised what PAF is capable of, it's just that it goes about it's business without chest thumping.

All these three are fairly close to the International Boundary/LoC.
Pakistan does not have the capability to take out "all" Indian Airbases.
And India's AD cover has grown tremendously over the years so even the Adampur, Pathankot and Srinagar repeat will be a tremendously difficult task.

What it can or can not do, remains to be seen.

Clearly PAF fanboys can't do without chest thumping at the least.

What it was capable of not what it can do now.
You are talking of a when paf had better aircraft than iaf .now the tides have turned iaf has got much better and a whole lot more of these aircraft than PAF can ever dream off.
Any sane human being will know that PAF can't do anything if it were to go to war with iaf.

The fan boys can claim all they want regarding the MKI, but first acquire the knowledge to differentiate between an actual landing on the motorway, which the PAF has been doing for a decade and what the IAF does, which is simply a touch and go.

Mate, why do you have so much hatred on anything that is Indian.. Atleast try to look at them as a country with a professional Airforce.. Your comments doesn't suit you.. I can see fan boys from both sides flaming and trolling, but seasoned people like you (If i'm not wrong) shouldn't indulge in such activities.. It is beyond disgusting to see this..
Pardon me if my comments were harsh..

I can 100% gurantee that Pakistan can not decimate Indian bases..
The reason I know this
Indian bases are the length and breadth of the Indian preninsula .
Not to mention a very capable Carrier with a credible battle group and fleet defense aircraft, backed by decades of operational experience in operating a CBG.

The IAF show was part of the inauguration ceremony of the expressway held at Unnao, around 50 kms from Lucknow. A dream project of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, the expressway was inaugurated by his father and Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav.

While an IAF jet had last year landed on the Yamuna Expressway near Delhi, today's event was more special given the number of top-of-the-line fighter jets that carried out the touch-and-go manoeuvre.

Three Sukhoi jets flew down from Bareilly and three Mirage 2000s from Gwalior and skimmed the six-lane highway, before flying off again.

While the touchdown by the fighter jets coincided with the inauguration of the highway, the IAF was another mission as well – check the highway - marked for landings as part of a Defence Ministry plan for emergencies when military airfields are not available – of its worthiness as an emergency runway.

The 302 km Greenfield expressway was completed in a record 23 months. It will offer a direct link to the Taj Mahal town of Agra from the Yamuna Expressway.

Officials say it will have an automatic traffic management system to deal with fog and reduce road accidents. It also features an eight-lane bridge across the river Ganga, which will connect Unnao and Kanpur.
