What's new

Indian 1000Rs and 500Rs notes banned from 08-Nov-2016

with all due respect
bhai your argument does not sound that very convincing

we all that little I know
swizzerlnd in expert in this field, and many countries import printing machine from them

anyways leave it at there

you are right, you know very little. So better to learn from people who know more than you rather than makes guesses to suite your prejudice.

Both India and Pakistan used to procure high-quality Optically Variable Ink (OVI) besides some other sensitive inks from Switzerland-based Sicpa Inks International Pvt Ltd. Both countries used the same paper made in Japan.

Not any more.

That is where this money comes to play .
If he uses his all withdrawal money to buy that property then it wouldnt be a big deal.
Now after this decision ,they cant use the amount that they got after from irregularity in stamp duty .

They can use the money if the money is paid in the new currency.

but if the govt says that security features have not been breached

then what diffrence it makes ?

maybe we can do it cheaper due to make in India type paper and inks

but even the old notes are good enough- on the basis of security features

Provide a link that shows govt. made any such claim.

The govt. has openly declared that pakistan is printing Indian currency that cannot be distinguished from Indian currency.

I saw the press conference. What is your point ?

They clearly said that terrorist used fake currency that is indistinguishable from real currency.

My properties already declared and paying taxes.. When i buy a property from someone, by paying the stamp duty.. seller is accountable for his income..

Well I got the gist and was hoping for this measures since long, like direct account to tax and lower denomination currency, am applauding big and bold move by government, this will certainly flush out black money for now, but with regard to introduction of higher currency again, I don't see hoarding not happening again in future, after all just swapping of currency with newer notes doesn't helps in chaging mind set of Indian in carrying our there business .

They are leaving the same loop hole, and am seeing it getting exploited again, when they have taken such drastic measure they could have gone complete Robinhood, with JDY pm has already issued million of accounts with debit card, Internet is improving withing country, with drastic measure such as completely shunning 500 and above would have lead toward more drastic reforms, such are more acceptance of digitized trackable payments.

Nevertheless, am not an economic expert, and sure PM would have consulted top notch economic experts on this, am just hoping and praying for the intention for which this started shall continue.

I think, higher denomination notes will be limited in number. Will probably make hoarding difficult. Anyway lets see what happens next.

Do u know in North Korea they had the same policy some time ago?
Change your money in the bank! Otherwise your money will be useless.
Does it work?
No, rich people use dollars and multinational banks for money laundry, they do not hold useless currency.
That's a good thought. :enjoy:

If it is black why would i draw from bank account.. where they have my PAN and adhaar..

Not going yo happen.. he wants new notes..

Am worried about two things.. i have to carry money back to bank wait in queue and registration not going to happen tomorrow.

I do, but he need liquid cash. Am not aware about his reasons.

Nope, paying registration to the total amount.. not that rich to keep black money..

Back out of the deal if you can, mate. The prices are expected to go down anyway. Not worth arranging 100's for an a**hole who insists on receiving money in cash. You would only be encouraging black money.

If you just withdrew from Bank recently and had no black money component, it shouldn't be difficult to deposit it all back. Just wait for the rush at the banks to subside.

So you are helping him earn black money and that makes you guilty too.

The stamp duty will only be on the amount on the cheque so you are not paying tax either.

Hard to find sympathy for you.

Sadly, that is how any secondary real estate transaction in India is done - so far atleast. In a market that overwhelmingly favors the sellers', there was, and still today, no way around it. You either pay the seller in cash as per his demand or don't get to buy a property at all.

It doesn't matter whether the buyer is supplying cash with black money or the legally earned money just like so many salaried people do across all the metros and elsewhere.

I have done it myself - even though every penny of my income has been accounted for and tax duly paid for, as a salaried employee. There simply is no other go!

Hopefully with these recent changes, honest taxpayers that want to buy properties don't have to go through the harrowing experience of carrying "MILLIONS" of Rupees in cash just to pay to the a**hole who insists on getting money in black!

I am sure the black currency can be converted to white. But then it will drag in the federals.
He already gave a chance to people with Black Money stashed to convert it into White Money by paying a fine of 40% to the Government and take 60% of the rest of money was white money.
That scheme ended in september Month. Those who converted Black money to white money during that period are safe.
The government was able to get back more than 10 billion dollars worth of disclosures from people in that period.

Now there is not chance for Black Money disclosure as the scheme ended already and he warned that scheme was a one time offer.

Counterfeit =/= Black Money.
Chances are, if someone can counterfeit the "old" currency, they can do the very same with the "new" one.
To counterfeit Currency you need the printing plates, machines, ink and whole other ingredients.
Pakistan got the printing machines and Indian Currency details which were sold during 1993 by Mumbai printing press buyed via Canada anonymously.
The new printing press is much more high tech with many features involved. That secret won't leak this time as its a state secret.

Hot air, nothing more in the video.
Not once did he explain what makes the currency so unique. What technology? Why hasn't this been adopted by the world?. Honestly stop being so gullible US$s are minted off, if Indiahas new plates for these notes, they too can be counterfeited as for "technology", the Canadian dollar incorporates the same "technology" the Australian Dollar does.
The new notes are rumored to have a newer technology incorporated with features like braille to make even the blind people able to differentiate between the currency notes.
There is a whole new system and technology in place now, which is hard to replicate.
