What's new

What is your profession?

Actually Pakistani stock exchanges are not huge. They can be influenced greatly by foreign investors and even domestic investment companies.

So investing in such a market is risky. You might earn a lot, or lose a lot. You just gotta ride the wave and have a lot of luck on your side to earn in such an exchange.

I started investing in 8th class. Earned lacs but lost everything I earned in life in 2008. Sad.

Hmmm so what i have heard is right.Ohhh i wanted so desperately to invest in stocks.

What about Forex. It is said to be even more risky than Stocks.

I am the only dumb here.:cry:

class xi failed...not even seen a college..:cry::cry:

for real??

I don't believe a certificate is a guarantee to a wise man. Educated is the one who learns and is curious, not the one who has a certificate to his name.

BTW, you should complete your school.

Well said Jagjitnatt,

let me tell you few examples pak-yes,
I know someone who used to make 15,000 - 20,000USD per week. Can you imagine?

Then one day he lost all money for making only 2-3 silly mistakes. You can imagine about his investment if he was making 15,000 - 20,000USD per week.

I know someone who claims to have earned 30,000USD in a matter of months when he was only 17 years old and then lost all money in one go. He is around 20 nowadays and still a forex trader and learning about forex

I know someone who started business with only couple of thousands of dollars and converted those 2000 - 4000USD (can't remember now) to 90,000USD within one year. He was a complete genius for my internet-teacher who teached me about Forex. Then he lost all money in one go and he is nowhere to be seen in this market.

Just want to say Forex/Stock Exchange business is highly volatile. You may earn millions dollar by investing few hundred dollars or lose million by doing one silly mistake. Yes the lower markets are highly influenced by Big companies and their decisions change the whole market upside down. But if you invest in a stable market such as DOW Jones of USA or trade Gold, Oil or other commodities there are more chances that you will make money. Its a huge business and your 1 decision can take you to the sky or bury you in the graveyard of debts.

You can make big money if you are willing to lose. If you are too greedy - then do not enter the business

Well, I can help you both. I started in 4 th class. At that point I just read the prices of the stocks in TV and noted them down to tell my dad when he returned from office.

I continued for 4 years. In those four years I learnt a lot. I even started suggesting my father which stocks to invest in. But when I was in 8th class, he expired, and since that day, its me doing the business.

The first step for entering the market is to observe and analyze the market, not just for weeks or months, but for at least two years.

Just imagine you bought a stock, note down the price and wait for a few days, and then imagine that you sold it at price you are getting. Check how much profit/loss you got into. Keep doing for a year.

Slowly you'd understand that market is not all that unpredictable. There are times in the year when market does extremely well, and there are times when the market just has to have a correction. In India market loses at least 10% in Jan every year, but no one observes it. Its a little secret of my though, and I called it the Jan effect.

Over these two years, you'd start seeing a pattern. Once you know when the companies announce results, what the turnover, revenue, operating profit etc of the companies are, their future prospects, their operations, then you can start investing the real money.

The biggest mistake one can make in the market is to hurry

And the sharpest weapon is patience.

???????.Well sir i am by career i belong to IT .So frankly the terms you are using are beyond my brain. So if i am asking stupid questions do not mind plssssssssssss.

First No Stock No Forex.Ok I understand .And no real estate too because well i don't have that kind of money.

No Bonds because well they are more or less interest and interest is forbidden in Islam.

Now can you guide me what is equity, mutual funds, future & options,IPOs and commodity.

Pls Pls tell me i am facing severe difficulties in Programming and may change my field soon.
