What's new

Why are Bangladeshi students turning to extremism?

are you bihari from bd? am asking coz most bangladeshis dont consider muktis as terrorist, rather freedom fighter... you got the right to pick your side though.
I am Sylheti

You were not created? Fancy that!
Thing created by someone is called "creation" not "creature"
God has created Earth. Earth is not creature. Earth is creation. lol
Humans are distinct from animals We have descended from Adam (ra)

As you say you are Sylheti - what makes you think the freedom fighters were terrorists and what's your ground of being proud of Pakistan (about 1971)?

I am just extremely curious now. Of course, I am not judging and you have right to choose a side and back your views.

Once you have sorted out whether you are mineral, vegetable or animal, we can assign you the right epithet.

When Pakistan came into being in 1947, it was agreed that no province has the right to secede from the union at any point of time much like Indian constitution. East Pakistanis were as much part of Pakistan as any other .East Pakistan included Bengalees (majority), Biharis, Sylhetis, Chittagonians, Assamese, Chakmas and Rohingyas. We had right to settle anywhere in the country There were manifold economic opportunities We were just another province of Pakistan like Sindh Punjab So there was no need to demand special privileges for ourselves There was mutual economic benefit for us

Sheikh Mujib leader of Awami League was power hungry like Zulfiqar Bhutto and struck deal with RAW to support insurgents sent from India into Mashriq Pakistan which we now know as Mukti Bahini- the Agortola conspiracy case most probably in 1967 I guess. He was convicted and jailed which is why when Awami League won in '71 he wasn't allowed to become wazir e alam. But some Bangladeshis were credulous especially in the regions bordering India and were being fed propaganda against Maghrib Pakistan like looting us, stealing jobs which were baseless allegations of course.

We succumbed to false propaganda which eventually led to East Pakistan declaring independence and Mukti Bahini invading us as planned in 1967 aided by Awami League and attacking pro Pakistani Bengalis and Sylhetis who were like 90% They also targeted mohajirs like Biharis and killed them just because they supported Pakistan. They were killing innocent Bengalis, Sylhetis and Biharis. They werent freedom fighters. They were plain and simple terrorists. They raped women It was unforgivable act Mukti Bahini were threat to unity of Pakistan like BLA and PLA are nowadays Just few days some Sindhi Nationalist group burnt a girl alive Would you call them freedom fighters? They were terrorists and had to be eliminated

So the war began against Mukti Bahini Our family supported Pakistan because we loved our country very much We were patriot citizens We couldn't let anyone divide our country Plz understand If today CHT tries to secede BD Army would use the same force to curb separatism and eliminate the separatists No one would be spared Secession is not allowed under BD Constitution hope you know that . It was same situation '71

I am just saying do you really think we were suppressed in a country which was five times our size , where we had visa free travel and so many economic opportunities? Just think about it

^ Okay.

For your information, Bangldadesh did not opt for secession until March 25 when Pakistan army started operation search light and killing civilians indiscriminately.

The declaration came in late 27th March, and the independent Bangladesh government was formed in 6th April.
Mukti Bahini started retaliation not before June/July.

There were no issue if w. pakistani honored a simple election and hand over power to a democratically elected parliament.

I dont mind if a Bengali soldier fought for Pakistan but those Razakars enlisted for Halua Rutis are the one most despicable.

You are a british citizen but if you still want to enjoy the benefit of being a dual citizen of Bangladesh you have to respect its constitution and the people who died for it. Your grand father could had been in the wrong side which is understandable but once you lost the war you must pay respect to the winner.

Whatever Sheikh Mujib is, He won an election to become the leader of your Great Pakistan Nation.

But he was anti-national. Traitor to unity of Pakistan. How can someone who wants to break country up become its leader I find it hard to comprehend

Agortola conspiracy case has been proven Validates my point

Operation Searchlight was conducted against Mukti Bahini terrorists and their collaborators. They were killing innocent civilians for supporting Pakistan and were raping women so they had to eliminated Terrorists like them didn't deserve to live and those who collaborated with them were even bigger terrorists, how could anyone aid and abet terror Its inhumane

And our family is banned from entering Bangladesh ever again for the crime of fighting for our country

" Who defected due to power hungry " or because Pakistan Army was going to arrest him as he was considered a threat ?
