Kurds have long fought for an independent State. And are no stranger to oppression be from Turkey, Syria, Iraq, or Iran. Many have been trained, as custom in the neighborhood to fight.

They have revolted against oppression many times, through-out the 20th century. The Iraqi Occupation of Kuwait and subsequent focus on bringing down Saddam Hussein was a god-send.

The PKK, Kurdish Worker's Party, has been fighting Turkey since the 80s. The Peshmerga, 'one who is prepared for death', in Iraqi Kurdistan, has held against even Saddam since 1979.

The Kurds are a people long oppressed by others, unable to face off conventionally or gather support for established powers for a State, they have unified and have the hallmarks of a State. A government, police force, economy, and Military. If these people resemble anyone it'll be the Israelis, who themselves have trained the Peshmerga units in Syria, Iraq, and Iran.

As far as your video shows, any idiot can press a trigger for a bomb....

Some interesting historical facts here. When the British occupied Iraq in 1920 they considered Kurds too primitive for to become independent and instead they cooperated with Sunnis Arabs who were considered more civilized. So the first Kurdish revolt in Iraq was crashed not by evil muslims but by a western army with the help of chemical attacks (short of like what Saddam did 60 years later).

So in other words if you lived in 1920, you would see British(or American...) soldiers fighting side to side with the "terrorists" of Fallujah and Mosul to liberate Kurdish lands from..the Kurds. Isnt it imperialism great?
