This is my personal opinion. You may call it whatever suits you but I personally feel if US pressurise us anyway to get him release then why we should not trade him wisely.

There are no principles in international politics simple as that.

I am sure Pakistan will do what is best for its own interests as best as it can play the same game.

That's part of the problem, you know: that the organs of the state won't put it all on the line for the sake of the rights of a single individual.

GOP has never charged Dr afridi of treason or involvement in OBL episode.
He has been given imprisonment under FCR rules on charges of having connections with ban put fit.

He has never been trialed in Court of law.

So why is Dr. Afridi being held without charges after his initial conviction was overturned? Why are the Pakistani courts sleeping in his case? After all, this is the same system where the Missing Persons Case went nowhere due to the utterly brazen and shameful lawlessness of the same security forces now holding Dr. Afridi without proper and due process..
