Saudi Arabia Warns of Economic Fallout if Congress Passes 9/11 Bill

Amazing. The same people who spent 10 years wailing about the United States' reactionary foreign policy and their intervention in the Middle East are cheering on a reactionary bill in Congress which would isolate not one, but most of the United States' Gulf allies and create even more havoc in the region. :disagree:

What is this about? Does anyone here really believe that KSA was behind 9/11? What benefits would such an absurd action exactly give KSA?
OBL who was half Yemeni and half Syrian was stripped off his Saudi Arabian citizenship in 1994

Some elements of the saudi regime were against a few thousand American troops stationed on the Holy Land of Islam. So they aided these terrorist Jihadists to force US out of the kingdom. You are dishonestly omitting the fact that 15 out of 19 hijackers were saudi citizens.

KSA is a force of stability in the muslim world .
If you call the mass spread of violent salafist wahhabi islamic ideology to other parts of the Muslim world as "stability", sure why not!

If you ask me much of the trouble in the region (MENA/Arab world) began with the "Islamic" revolution in Iran in 1979 and later the fatal and catastrophic invasion of Iraq in 2003. Then came the Arab Spring which overall was a failure outside of Tunisia and a few other states.
You label every historical event that was a threat to your blessed saudi Kingdom as "trouble". Islamic revolution happened in Iran. Had it spread to neighboring Arab states, the saudi rule was over by now. Same with Arab spring which could topple saudi monarchy if people protested on mass.

Stupid Americans. Invaded Iraq, killed millions of people in the process. And still can't link the country with either alqaeda or 9/11. Yet somehow a third country (Shia majority Iran) which was never invaded for being responsible for 9/11 must pay the damages to the victims of sunni Arab terrorism on American soil. It's a mockery of US justice system.

US interventions in the middle east bankrupted world's only remaining superpower. But they still don't want to learn

The sooner we get off our imaginary high horse, the better. We can't even run our own country well and here you are living in a bubble

Basically, house of Saud is set to realize that it too can be discarded like a dirty napkin. And once that happens, the only way the kingdom continues to survive as a kingdom is with the help of Pakistan!

However, I hope that democracy is soon introduced in the Kingdom! It is high time the house of Saud paid for its satanic and Pharaohic ways of domination and ruthlessness it introduced in the Muslim world.

How the F Iran come into all this equation? zionism in motion I guess. Few years ago a German company sued by grandchildren of some Holocaust Jews had to pay Billion just to keep doing Business in US.

Why do u want destruction of a perfectly normal and stable muslim country? Are u a bigot?

KSA is a force of stability in the muslim world and they have treated their citizens well. Not to mention the amount of financial assistance they have given to completely undeserving & backstabbing 3rd rate secular muslim majority shitholes.

I am not a bigot, but you are coming across as a perfect retard.

It is because you are unable to see that the house of Saud has financed the radical version of Islam, from Al-Qaeda to ISIS, across the globe and that the same tyrant house is engaged in a self created, self declared, covert Sunni v/s Shia war across all Muslim states! It is because of the funds that the house of Saud has provided, and their insistence on the US to wage wars which has resulted in a middle east that is extremely volatile, out of control and radicalized!

The amount of money that the house of Saud has invested in the western military and the US weapons development alone should be sufficient for all the Muslims of this world to hate them. And that was my impression when I was not aware how much the house of Saud has influenced the US wars in the Muslim world! They are a shame on Islam and on humanity and will answer to Allah, if not to the Muslims sometime very soon.

And since when does democracy mean destruction of Saudi Arabia? Doesn't democracy mean that the Kingdom will not be able to hand over reigns of the country as the King wishes and that it will instead of be decided by the citizens of Saudi Arabia?

The sooner we get off our imaginary high horse, the better. We can't even run our own country well and here you are living in a bubble

We cannot run our country because there are too many external factors that influence the decision makers of our country. Saudi Arabia is not one of those countries, it does not allow any foreign influence and can very well hire the Pakistani Military (retired mostly) as 'mercenaries' to quell and nip any uprising.......any resentment and any opposition.

Bankrupt americans are simply trying to invent excuses for looting others...Iran was no longer an attractive target with very small amount of assets housed in US..and when the sanctions went off..something triggered in my sixth sense that US could be looking for repeat of Iran politics with countries holding larger assets...and here ..it comes confirmation of my suspicion... the US knows Saudis will be withdrawing these assets anyways to fuel their local market liquidity for post-oil economic growth...draining money from US economy...and the US simply does not want to lose the liquidity from this economic pie...!

Saudi officials have long denied that the kingdom had any role in the Sept. 11 plot, and the 9/11 Commission found “no evidence that the Saudi government as an institution or senior Saudi officials individually funded the organization.” But critics have noted that the commission’s narrow wording left open the possibility that less senior officials or parts of the Saudi government could have played a role. Suspicions have lingered, partly because of the conclusions of a 2002 congressional inquiry into the attacks that cited some evidence that Saudi officials living in the United States at the time had a hand in the plot.

Those conclusions, contained in 28 pages of the report, still have not been released publicly.

Saud Arabia itself has asked for release of those 28 Pages but they have more to expose about the US government failure itself than the involvement of Saudis..so rather than coming to point about release the 28 pages..the law makers are using attention diversion tactics of populist propaganda...come on...any accusation of Saudi has to have the 28 pages released first..if the law makers cannot get those 28 pages released..then forget about any next step..

We would all be a sanctioned hole in the dessert like Iran....you have no idea ho difficult the sanctions have made life for average iranian...go talk to some prostitute in the corner of a hotel in dubai..people are risking everything..their life..their health..and their future..to make it past two meals a day...Iran has highest epidemic of AIDS now..

The alliance with Saudi Arabia has frayed in recent years as the White House has tried to thaw ties with Iran — Saudi Arabia’s bitter enemy— in the midst of recriminations between American and Saudi officials about the role that both countries should play in the stability of the Middle East.

The writing on the wall says to Saudis....stop the GCC lobbying efforts against US backed Iran deal!
Plain and simple..the Saudis tone down opposition to deal...the US forget about resolution...

this is a default judgement because Iran did not show and it did not make sense for Iran to show up either..
It's not a judgment. It's a mockery of US justice system. You accuse me for something despite I am no American citizen and have no interests in USA. Then when I of course do not show up in court, I am automatically liable of all the crimes I am accused of. No wonder why USA is the most corrupt nation on earth. Their justice system is hilariously stupid.

WHY the Fek cant I wake up one day and find out things are changing for better ...

IF at all the americans have knowledge of Saudi involvement
then how the fek are they going to explain their involvement in iraq, Syria and afghanistan ?
Millions of people have died,
millions more sent back 100 years in time or more ..

How will the americans explain this ?
