A great news that more and more army jobs are being opened to women, despite the sexist remarks, women can be as good as men on certain jobs.
-
Claire,Rafale pilot in the FAF,already deployed to take part in the Opération Serval.
-
Women or men,the most important thing is to serve the country.

When did I become Indian! :what:
BTW, the question is, can a woman defend herself as good a man can if her jet/helicopter is shot down! Also, I might be wrong but to my knowledge Indian Air Force don't have women taking part in combat operations.

There are standards, if they are met then anyone- irrespective of gender- should be allowed to serve. The video makes this point quite clear.

Women in the IAF are already flying helicopters and transport planes and as pointed out by the Wg Comannder in the video, in this day and age of assymetric warfare there is inherently a risk. If the fighter stream is open to women now then how is the IAF not using women for combat operations?

A lot of members mentioned are not Indian, next time I won't tag you if you would prefer.

A woman can't ever come up to the equal level of a man in terms of physical strength no matter how much the pc brigade try to shove it down your throat. A woman in the Army can't compare physically to a man in it.

You yourself answered my question.

What is done is done! No need to hassle with it.

Irrelevent in this context. These are aviators, women are more than able to match their male counterparts in the cockpit- how much of modern aviation is about physical strength? As I have said, there are standards that every servicemember has to meet in order to serve, anyone that can pass these standards has a right to be a fighter pilot.

All aviators in the IAF will go through SERE training.

We are not talking about direct combat roles like the infantry or Special Forces nor are we talking about the army.

IAF should clearly reconsider its stance against women pilots flying in combat missions. In many situations, it has been seen that women are more capable of handling complicated situations than men.
Sale to the brave women who are serving our armed forces.
The IAF has completly lifted the ban on women serving in the fighter stream, the first female fighter pilots of the IAF will be operational in 2017.
