Genghis Khan invaded Turkey? I think you need to brush up your history knowledge. In the contrary Genghis Khan was an unifier of Mongol and Turkic people. I'm not saying we never had inter-war but Genghis Khan period has nothing to do with this.

Still, Turkey's Turks look nothing like Turkic people. After centurys of inter-marriage, Arab migrations into anotolia and Millions of Muslim refugees from the Balkans and Southern Russia; Turkey's Turk's can be easily called a different race.

Turkish Turks have assimilated with Europeans etc .. Meanwhile the central Asians nations remain pretty much Mongoloid.. Probably closer to their ancestors..

The closest cousins of Mongols are the Hazara people of Pak & Afghanistan... The descendants of the Mongols .

Central Asian Turkic people (not Anatolians) look somewhat Mongol not because the Mongols mingled with them and intermarried in a civilized way. You get the idea.
