More Kashmiri youth joining militants becoming a source of major worry

The result will be the same. Hindus and Buddhists need to think like Sikander Butshikan. Else, go to a corner and cry. :D
true, I meant to say gaza and west bank, roll out the bulldozers and resettle you lot back.. en masse and armed.

The GDP per capita in Indian Kashmir is already about double to that of Pakistani Kashmir, as I have heard from some journalists. This gap will only continue to increase in the in the coming years. It directly affects standard of living, facilities provided by state and other opportunities. Also, with the deeper penetration of media, people in Pakistani Kashmir will become more and more aware about these differences. It will be interesting to watch how it works out then.
Without proof i find it hard to believe. as far as living condition is concerned, AJK is doing quite well in all departments.

Indian Governments needs to take Hard decision enough of this soft,Secular and lenient thingy. Indian gov needs to scrap Gov in Kashmir and Center should be running kashmir and just like in old days give perks to youth and form a mole inside them(Just like in Haider Movie) and start killing the potential threats and resettle Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists and also open up Kashmir for whole of India to settle .

Pakistan can give Sunnis in Kashmir the satisfaction of being ruled by Muslims. That is what most Sunnis feel. I am being honest here.
Yeah.. religious factor is the only thing, the importance of which will only further go down as the basic requirement of a human being as always been Roti-kapda-makaan, since time immemorial, religion comes later.

Take the example of North and South Korea. The North Koreans don't flee to the South because they have banned the Bible in the North. They go to the south for better opportunities. That's the ground-level reality.
As a nation, our policy should be to focus more on that aspect, rest of the things will fall in place. Some anomalies will be there, that is expected, but will be statistically negligible.

Certain people inside Pakistan realize that. Hence the necessity to artificially keep the issue alive by means of sponsoring terrorism. But, what matters from a 30000 ft level is the general perception. When a normal fruit-seller or an office goer thinks, his life is getting hampered due to terrorism, the job is done.

Still won't work. You will gain time. And time alone.

Unless the converted are reconverted/or de-religionized ( whatever that means :D ), nothing is going to happen. The issue will remain in a limbo. It has become a comatose issue but die it won't.

what kind of reaction do the occupation forces expect?

When you have a promise of Jannah with it's glories, earthly benefits of better GDP etc mean little to an average young Sunni.

Yeah, not much. Not many are left in the valley. Those who are left convert to save their women's honor. That's how they convert 'of their own free will'. :P But 99% Hindus have left the valley anyway.

Kashmir dispute has absolutely NOTHING to do with Shiia-Sunni.....Syed Geelani of the APHC (one of the leading separatist organizations) is not Sunni ;)

That is the general case. A young child will think so. I mother will think so. An old man, an old lady will think so. A middle aged man and woman will think so.

But not the youth. The mythical Ummah and Jannah will always have more goodies in afterlife than in this life. For a Muslim, religion comes first, especially if they live in a homogeneous Muslim locality without interaction of non Muslims. And the valley is 99.72% Muslim (counting the Shia).

@nForce - Look at the Arab Spring for example. Comparatively well to do countries and their youth toppled secular leaders and placed Islamic clerics on the top. They know that the economy would be hurt. Egypt has been an exception.

Kashmir is the only place in India where the celebration of Muharram is banned. Geelani is an apologetic - more Sunni than Sunnis. He needs to over-compensate that, hence his diatribes.

I don't have the proper statistics, which is why I have stated that I heard it from someone else. But, they are veteran journalists and they don't usually give fabricated comments in private talks. So, it's perfectly fine if you don't believe it.

But, we can very well study the pointers. India has been economically developing in a steady pace for last two decades. We had a slowdown for a few years. Again we have picked up pace. Vajpayee largely started the modernisation of Kashmir, with deeper penetration of railway and road networks, loan packages for cottage industries in Kashmir, better facilities for education and healthcare etc. We have no shortage of funds for that, and from here, things can go only one way. India can out-perform Pakistan in all these fronts in Kashmir. So, that's a point you should ponder about.

freedom from hindu raj
and slavery of someone else ? How does that work out, my friend ?

And for you we should say Pakistan fully recognizes and support freedom movement in Kashmir and it will keep supporting it until Kashmir is liberated from Indian occupation.

We will do the same Zarvan. That is what I should say.

There is...terrorism is exported from Pakistan as seen in Gurdaspur and the capture of Naved. There may be certain mercenaries on Indian side that may be giving shelter to these terrorists, but they are not directly involved in terrorist activities.

now who the fu*k is naved now.. :undecided:

If you are a pundit than you can use the title sheikh its a kashmiri tradition :-)
Talking about sheikh, I will share some interesting read about Shiekh Abdullah. The history of the region is enchanting :)

What doctors do with a suppurating boil or furuncle.

Isolate, incise, drain, introduce antibiotics.

I see our military and state strategy in very similar light.

Just that the antibiotics have not yet started.

Decades have gone by. They need to come quick. :P
