New evidence emerge: The Aryan Invasion Was Not Fantasy

@levina I cant believe an intelligent person like you is held back by nationalistic views. Do you think current Indians are any less Indian, or hinduism any less Indian just because invaders brought it. Islam was brought by invaders too, but its part of India.
I think you are taking it way too personally, quest for knowledge and truth cannot even begin if you are afraid always.

South Indians are not related at all to North Indians and that is why the Indians as a whole reject the Aryan theory, although practice it in effect with the caste system

Ancient Indians of Rig Vedas were native people of India and these people are still dwelling around the major rivers of India such Ganga.

Mainly the European tribes came towards India during the period of King Alexander and it was mainly because of the Seleciud Empire , the European tribes adopted Sanskrit terms and came to know about Rig Vedas and on later stages started claiming that ancient people of Rig Vedas era were Europeans which is completely incorrect.

@save_ghenda @levina

I don't understand this table - may be I am reading it wrong?

1) the chart (table 1) shows some groups after 100 generations and some after 60. . Why is that? I know they are saying they 'discovered' the mixture at that many generations ago - does that mean they found Aryan mixtures in Brahmins 60 generations ago but in other others (eg: Madiga, Kalla etc) some 120 gens ago? If that is the case this table is actually negating the AIT!

2) It lists Brahmins, Kshatriyas and Vysyas as racial ethnic groups but that's not true. How did they collect this data?

3) Pathans with 70%+ ANI and a mixture date AFTER the other sub-continental races actually would indicate westward movement wouldn't it?

I am still trying to learn to interpret this data

It shows high caste have more ANI then low castes despite living in same region/place. But that ANI is not necessary aryan, now we know Sintashta/early indo-european people were genetically like current day north europeans. But ANI is not european necesarly, only small part of it.

Ofcourse people running around ganga are Indians. But we are not interested in them, what is interesting is who early indo-aryans were like genetically when they first entered.

Indus Valley civilizations covers all the Indian Sub Continent.

Indus, Ganga, Saraswati, Godavari, Brahmaputra, Krishna, Cauvery all are part of Indian culture and traditions.

“O best of mothers, O best of rivers, O best of goddesses, Sarasvati”. There appears to be some confusion regarding the reference of the Ganga in the Rig Veda in the eulogy of Sarasvati “The Ganga is a living symbol of an ancient culture’s way of life and the sacred dimension of nature itself. The whole Hindu world still comes to her banks, to sing, to pray, to wash, to ask favors and blessings, to barter, to die”. There is a recent Hindu belief that Sarasvati river actually flows underground ultimately meeting Yamuna and the Ganges at the Sangam (Prayag) in Allahabad.

Brahmaputra is a mighty river that emanates from the Mansarovar region in the Himalaya

This book is banned in India

.

BUT IT DOESN'T! You are comparing 120th generations of 'lower' with 60th gen of 'higher'. It makes no sense!

This book is banned in India

u mean the donegar? it should be for the level of misinformation in it

fork tongue ******** keep twisting history to suit their agenda , while to Iranians they have no qualms in acknowledging their Aryan ancestry and shared homeland

The peoples of India and Iran, two ancient neighbouring civilisations, have enjoyed close historical links through the ages. They had a common homeland and share a common linguistic and racial past. Over the several millennia, they interacted an enriched each other in the fields of language, religion, arts, culture, food and other traditions. Today the two countries enjoy warm, friendly relations and cooperate in a wide range of fields.

The idea of migration is already there. They went to both iranian plateau and Indian sub. Invasion is another story, have yet to find some sort of full scale confrontation. Though, I wont rule out such an idea.

1) it's a blog by a man called Razib Khan.
2)The book cover that has been posted in your OP belongs to Wendy Doniger.
Her language in the book is profane to say the least, and I wont take this septuagenarian seriously because she and her friends have a history of distorting facts. I'm not surprised that AIT is supported by likes of her. :)

some gems from her book include:
"the Vedic reverence for violence flowered in the slaughters that followed Partition.” - utter nonsense.

"Ala-ud-din Husain, regarded the sultan as an incarnation of Lord Krishna."- Really??? lol

"“Sita had to enter the purifying fire in front of everyone, because she had lived so long in Ravana’s bedrooms. Had I not purified her, good people would have said of me, ‘That Rama, Dasharatha’s son, is certainly lustful and childish"

3) just in case you missed it....this ancient dna studies of Haak et al & Allentoft only show the evidence of Indo European migration into Europe from the steppe. Where do these show genetic evidence for Indo-Aryan migration into South Asia???

@SarthakGanguly @Dash @utraash

Where are you from ?

Name the state / province plz.

Bibi you are high caste south indian brahmin. I can understand your pov, since you guys are considered foreigners there. And people in north call you dravidian while people in south call you aryan.
Trust me I do not have any identity crisis and I don't want any of my genes linked to "north west", I'm a very proud Dravidan.

Or may be I've read too much on this topic to realise that this is a propaganda.

Btw not so long back I believed in AIT theory so you can't blame me for being nationalistic.
