frankly speaking the partition idea was proposed by the aligarh muslim elite and the awadh taluqadars.The people of present day pakistan literally had no idea of partition until 1946,there were a nobody in indian politics at that time .The Muslim league was nothing but a coterie of disgruntled nawabs and the old UP ruling elite .It never even had clout among the muslim masess including jinnah,faz-ul-haq of Praja karshak party(East bengal)and Mohammad shaukat ali and Sikandhar and khizr Hayat khan (Unionist party) Punjab,Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan of NWFP had more grip over the people.The Unionist Party only agreed to partition when they understood that Nehru would abolish the Zamindari system

Hmmm and despite strong grip of Ghafar Khan over the people We People of NWFP voted for Pakistan in a free and fair referendum puting an end to Indian wet dreams

He boycotted the plebiscite and the majority was 50.3% something (despite his boycott)nothing of an overwhelming majority.The voting was also not based on universal adult suffarage only those who paid income tax were eligible to vote

Well its a matter of simple mathematics that had there not be partition Muslims of India would have been a great power in India. However, when we see Muslims of North India in last 60 years they have accepted Indian culture more then living with Hindus for 1000 years. e.g. Normal muslim in India is fond of going to darbars (graves) and prayer from them. However in Pakistan we have quite alot got rid of that shirkiya practice.

Zakir Naik is a Yazidi fool! He supports the MURDERER of the family of Rasool Allah (SAW)! He is NO Alim, and he is very ignorant!

He lacks credibility, and knows very little about the hadiths, Sharia, Islamic history, and Islam in general!

He may have some good knowledge on comparative religions, and science, but he is NOT a scholar, and EXTREMELY lacks knowledge in Islam!

Dr Naik in no way supported Yazid bin Muawiya but his statement that it was a political thing and it is not part of Islam. It is part of Islamic history but not part of Islam. Islam was completed at the day of the last Haj of the Prophet (SAW).

It is unfortunate that though Wahabis (Deobandi and Salafi) are accused of being intollerent by the west and the certain class of Muslims but seldom u see them bashing other sect but u see alot of Shias and Barelvis bashing them. Which is unfortunate infact. I request the moderators to put forward a policy in which no sect should be bashed by any one.

Every Mullah proves himself to be an enemy of Pakistan sooner or later.

These people don't hate the division out of love for India, they wanted the combined force to take over India!

Ofcourse, I would say that hating average Pakistanis is a too strong a word. Infact, I don't think the average Indian would or should "hate" the average Pakistani. Like it or not, we have more in common than other countries in terms of language culture e.t.c
However, after the mumbai attacks, the anger and hatred expressed by many of my Indian muslim family and friends, let along non-Muslims ones; I would not be able to say categorically that no Indian Muslim (especially from mumbai) hates Pakistan especially after the denial expressed by many Pakistanis.

To give you an idea, some of the tabloid Urdu papers (who like to indulge in conspiracy theories every now and then) regularly link ISI e.t.c. to VHP, Bajrang Dal and BJP saying that these are supported by them so as to start a secretarian war in India. Go figure...


But the time of blackmailing Muslims in the name of Islam is gone.

The problem is the antagonistic policies that the GoP and related security establishment has had for almost all its neighbours. Be it Iran, Afghanistan, India or even Bangladesh (erstwhile E. Pakistan)

Infact, even Arab countries and GCC countries like Saudi Arabia are coming out of the Pakistani view of south asia from the cold war era and are engaging with India without this baggage.

Do you think muslims in any of these countries are not good Muslim just because they abhor Pakistan's policies and making a mess in other countries in the name of "Islam".

It was even opposed by Iqbal. His letters and correspondence categorically stated that he opposed the Pakistani scheme.

His vision for Muslims in India is given in his 1930 speech which is quite clear on what he wanted.
