Yeah! In those days dalits/out castes were very happy about their 'status' in Hinduism.

Again, BS! :P

As long as Hinduism existed to be sad or happy, it was/is/will be acceptable. :coffee: ............... go tell you foolish theories to those Non Dalits living in Pakistan and Bangladesh and Afghanistan  ........ now they will spit on your face and call you BS.

Their "status" in a Non Hindu state is what awaits you and your kind who laughs at your history and take pride in ignorance.

we don't have toilets :(

Do you have any creature that is known as a muslim?

Please never ever call yourself a hindu or a believer of shree mad bhagavad geeta or believe in our gods or go to temples and then indulge in eating of a flesh of a cow. If cow meat is so dear to you brothers abandon going to any temple or prey to gods or simply believing yourself to be a hindu. There can be no sin greater than willingly killing cow and (I just cannot imagine) eating it.

And keralite hindu guys - your land is known as god's own country and you guys have absolutely no shame, in fact, you guys boast of eating beef, you ppl reached nadir of our dharma. I am very very sure if tomorrow someone to say to you that human flesh is tastiest you guys will seek out for that too.

I am very very sorry if I have hurt someone but right now, after going thru this thread, I am feeling very low.
Government should not interfere in dietary habits of any individual

Having said that

Don't generalise all kerala hindus as beaf eating infidels :(

What you and other posters in this thread must understand while talking about mallus is that kerala is a truly secular state

And by secularism I mean the state never mixes religion in its affairs

I can give a few noble examples of such secularism that other states can also follow :

-no mid day meals for school children in a district during the month of ramdan

-no exams on Fridays (state boards). Central boards have also been requested to avoid exams on fridays

I marvel at the secularism on display. :)

So they just left.

Poof.

Like that?
On that count. You made a mistake partitioning this country. Speaking this from your POV.

Where is India going... ?!? #Secularism shoved down the toilet drain.

We were never secular to being with. Indian secularism was always bogus. Even constitution claims to be secular yet religious laws takes precedence over uniformity and equality for all.

Don't mistake religious tolerance of a majority of people cutting across different faiths to be secularism.

Well I believe if beef is banned then pork should be banned too. A truly secular nation does not ban things however. These people do not understand simple logic. Someone else eating pork or beef does not mean it is going inside your stomach. I think we have infinately discussed said topic. Why is this thread still in the front.

Well the day people start milking pigs for milk consumption we will ban pork too.

Then why not allow Cannibalism ? I fail to understand the logic there.

Here is more proof of Kerala "secular" nature.

I want Mallus to slaughter cows on streets of Kerala to prove how secular they are.

We thank Jinnah from bottom of our heart, and I am glad our people at the time of partition we didn't had leaders like in the western UP. or else in the name of bhai chara we would have been getting cr@p in the name of secularism.

Its a shame. I thought we could learn much from India-particularly the secular model but most Indians today do not have that secular mindset. Glad to see mallus though who maintain such ideals. I believe for countries like Pakistan and India some form of minority appeasement is necessary. Much less they are banning things for minorities too. This beef issue is very similar to what Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto did. He banned drinking even for minorities. I oppose his alcohol ban even on muslims however as everyone must have a choice. Many Hindus still eat beef, so I am quite clear that this is a law against fundamental human rights.

I am in the gulf and went to an Al-ain hotel recently. They were serving pork. I simply avoided that dish. Pork is also sold in grocery shops in Dubai. UAE is well a religious state and even they had enough vision. So there is always some space in a society for minorities to do as they please. Simple fact is the beef isn't going into the hindutva's stomach.

Well it will affect muslims most. The cow is often eaten particularly on bakr eid a muslim festival.
