After constant tries and efforts in order to counter the rising terrorism and growing Indian aggression the Pakistan army has initiated a new training program in order to prepare troops for multiple scenarios . This is the PACES program .
The program was started during the tenure of Gen.Ashfaq pervaiz kyani .After suffering heavy losses in the 2009 Swat operation Rah-e-Rahst it was decided that a news soldier was required who could not only operate in all terrains unlike the conventional soldiers which mostly operated in flat lands or deserts .These soldiers also had be resilient and were capable of enduring mental and physical stress during times of war.
The program was led by a team of army medical corps officers under the command of Commander PACES
Cell Brig.Yousuf Baig.
The training is as follows :
  1. 10 km in 8.5 min
  2. 2800 pushups in an hour
  3. 3000 reach ups in an hour
  4. 80 over grip pull ups in 20 min
  5. CET (Combat efficiency Test)
  6. temperature endurance
  7. MTT ( Multiple targeting test

Excellent thread...

Reminds me of Capt Abrar... he made world records..

50544 pushups in 24 hours.

64 pushups with 40 pound weight in 1 minute and with 1 hand...

Most pushups in 1 minute using the back of the hands...with the weight.

I believe he was also a winner of P.A.C.E.S... 2012? ...

the funny thing is the guy was in army services corps till he got transffered to bolach regiment by Gen kyani

This is great, than you!
What does the Combat Efficiency Test involve?

Sorry its 30 min
So,how many made it one or two out of 1000 maybe?
A soldier passing the first test can never pass the second because you need arm and back muscles for that.
A ''runner'' has different proportions then a fitness guy,so this test is bs.
