How can Egypt counter the F35i?

hullo...super sukhoi is still a dream...on paper...but it is one mean guy..don't dish a super sukhoi just cause of those two flags :D . no mig can touch it. pakfa ? yes...

but then why aren't we talking about egypt buying pakfa ? no go at all ? why ?

If one thing Hamas's fire crackers did is to make Israel extremely resistant to missile attacks. Hamas giving them a free test every now and again of their systems. BMs are not going to do crap against Israel. You can dream of a missile shower but no nation will tolerate a single missile, and every nation has counter measures for that. You fire for the first say (And that is wishful thinking) hours, after that you will have no BMs to fire and the only thing you can do is say "Please at least use Lube Israel".

You're comparing artillery rockets to ballistic missiles still. Hamas has no ballistic missiles.

Umm no, Cruise Missile are precise, low flying, and are very effective, missile that come from outer orbit are easy to take down now a days.
But can't AWACS detect cruise missiles, even low flying ones? Also, Modern Ballistic Missiles are sophisticated and a lot faster than the old Scud series. There is no guaranteed way of intercepting them. The Americans after years of R&D still haven't managed to score a 100% kill against incoming BM (simulated/practice targets), i doubt such systems tested under controlled environments would be effective against sophisticated modern BM's in a real combat scenario.

No but you are teaching them how to counter it, if they can counter Hamas's fire crackers they can counter a BM.

I wasn't expecting this thread to get this much attention. Glad it did though. Serves an important purpose. Since you guys are much more knowledgeable than I am on this technology.

Go ahead and figure it out, I got it started and will leave it to you guys to discuss. Have a good day.

Okay you say a Ballistic Missile shower, I never said they were ALL going to be shut down, but enough of them will fall that they won't make any serious damage to the military machine. Enough to piss them off but not enough to kill.

BMs can be stopped, and most of them well, and by the time you can deal enough random damage it would be too late since all your BMs will have been taken cared of by a quality Air Force. So Ballistic Missile is a chocked man scratch,

There not as obsolete as you making them sound to be otherwise they wouldn't be in the arsenal of a lot of countries, including Saudi Arabia.

And im not talking about BM's alone, rather BM's coupled with CM's and effective Air Defence network and other standoff weapons.

BM's with MRIV's are toughto intercept.

I doubt Egypt's ability to stop almost every BM/CM, infact their own missiles use GPS guidance now imagine what would US do and israel is far ahead in jamming CMs.

Yeah, which is why they need to establish air superiority first (Good luck with that, and that is what this discussion is all about).

But they won't win you the fight. BMs will never win a fight unless they have an unconventional payload.

I'll be the first one to admit that the Saudi Arabian BMs without an unconventional payload are useless, and they won't make a dent against any enemy.
