Hoisting of national flag upsets militant group

Already discussed. Need significant size to hold.
of course the size need to be sorted out after the digital modelling is done and prototyping has moved to the point where gun installation actually becomes the issue!

Thats very easy. We achived it in a quad copter of 1 sq ft. Taking pictures and sending them to ground stations.
Thanks!

Possible but then again will require camera of very high efficiency and resolution. Our copter can reach only 2K ft.
No high service ceiling required!

Thanks!

Possible.
Thanks!

Possible.
Thanks!

Depends on what? Image processing or thermal detection? With high ceiling thermal may be tough but image processing is possible. But then what are the rules for identifying IED by image? Thats a bit insane.
I DID NOT SAY ABOUT AN IED DETECTION DRONE, LIARS! @mafiya

Yes, but a good set of requirements for a future gen. We might end up designing stealth laws for quad copter. Certainly not a cup of tea with 4 rotor hovering
Thanks

This is big worry in the IED world and as batteries become more powerful these can be triggered after even 6 months.

What! how did that happen? @Chak Bamu @mafiya

Your own words:

I was not talking about mine detecting drones in the first place, i was actually talking about armed quad copters and micro surveillance UAV's both of which i have a proof of being there. But detecting IED's isn't a space tech. concept it can happen given the power source is there to energize the detectors....

Will send you a paper which I wrote 6 months ago. Just give me some time to get an opinion if its safe. Do you have EOD background?
No dude i just want you tell me whether it is true that batteries these days can provide sustained voltage for longer period of times for keeping the quad a few hours in the field with a moderate payload of the frontal section of a gun, am i right, yes or no?

The gun is to be a lighter one, maybe an AR variant if it is light enough, also get rid of the stock and just keep the firing mechanism. Also should carry a camera and a few bullets as a prototype.

@FunkyGen

Look Both @Icarus and @Irfan Baloch are right as well. Its just the way of thinking differs.

For instance, you belonging to a new gen (I assume so), is more inclined toward "If its possible, it should be made" and they being associated with "Affordable production of what is required" which is primarily because of their age, maturity and profession (pak army always look to draw more profit than what they spend). You will jump on buying new launch of iphone just because it has extra feature you will never gonna use, but I doubt they will.

We can achieve anything, even IED detection from 20000 ft, we can fit cannon ranging 5 Km with close to zero visibility but then the primary question and hindrance is miniaturization.

Whatever capabilities you have asked or foreseen, all are present in some form or other. They have been validated. We are able to track our moon mission which is travelling 450 million Km away with a speed of 26 Km/sec. So definitely we can sense thermal energy from 5 K ft.

The question probably both seniors are raising is cost effectiveness, timelines, miniaturization and to top of that- need.

Anyways the progressive and out of box thinking is required, keep it up but in vicinity of viability and requirement.

Cheers :)

Yes i am from the new gen.
Thing about viability or requirement is that the requirement is definitely there, debate is about the viability and not the requirement.
And no i will not buy that i phone, android is better lol....

So let me tell you a harsh truth, to my limited knowledge of UAV and control laws, to get a recon quad, stealthier and with a cannon of high caliber and a system to target is not viable in today's times unless you go after a quad of size no less than a pakistani mehran car.

I think this is what @Icarus is saying as well but I appreciate your desire of innovation and we will see something what you are suggesting in future. May be 2 decades later.

Dont take me wrong, I agree with you 70% :D

hmmm.... guess i have some time to prove you wrong then....

That's good enough, a great person once said...
"The future belong to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams"

I don't want a cannon dude, an AR variant would do.... and i hate mehrans.
