What's new

Z10 new pics

Looks like a replica of T-129

anyhow, whatever it might be, it'd be great to induct these birds if they prove themselves fit for war.

And what with the T-129 itself being a beefed up copy of the Italian A-129 .... who cares?

Thanks for the pics. looks like a mean heli

Pakistan should acquire Z10s going forward instead of acquiring additional Z9s.

That might take a while seeing as how it's not even in PLA inventory yet (at least, not in credible numbers). Z-9 is still a good platform to bridge the gap in the meantime.

I believe the WZ-9 engines will start rolling out at the end of this year.

A-129C

come on, you did not have to say that.

T-129 is a upgraded version of AW-129, and the final configuration will be much different and improved from PT-1 T-129 that just flew.

As long as PA can get the exact same Chinese domestic version of Z-10 along with western armaments such as offered by Turkey IMO T-129 and Z-10 will be one of the best stealth/high tech combat chopper combination!

Lest hope the Z-10 (Chinese domestic version) enters in race (on time) with Tiger, and T-129.

If those three helicopter goes to a competition for future Pakistani attack helicopter, I think the tender will be really deadly and benefical for Pakistan... The institue offering much more offset with technology transfer and free source-codes will be winner...

BTW, The first test flight of T-129 P1 was a demonstration show of Atak team to introduce their voice to World... The real T-129 which has almost modified and shaped helicopter approximately close to Turkish version (Tuc-5) will fly in 2011... It can be possible to see lots of differences between first T-129 and latest ones, even at design...

Nice pictures, thanks for sharing.

It will still be a Mongoose/Mangusta, so credit to Italy's Agusta.

And the reason for your knee jerk reaction was because some one said that Z-10 looks like a T-129?
Development of the Z-10 began during the early 1990s. China approached helicopter gunship manufacturers in South Africa and Italy for technical assistance.

Now it makes much more sense?

well, these copters, all of them, look so ugly :hitwall:
can't they turn out to be more gentle and more beautiful :undecided:
