What's new

People of Swat dislike Malala Yousafzai.

This is what happens in areas with low literacy. People start being suspicious. I recently watched an interview of Malala. I do think she also needs include how things are changing. Also how in certain areas of Pakistan things are different. In Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, and other major Pakistani cities female education is a normal thing. She is also a child so people need to take it easy.

However she is doing something positive and bringing light to the problems and gathering funds for girls school.

People in Pakistan also forget easily. One moment they'll be hating someone or some political party but the next year they're in love.

In simple words if she is right then she should be in Pakistan not a Western Country to propagate her believes.

This is as simple as that.

Malala also hate Swatis.. this is why she left them @ mercy of TTP.

Even worst, she want to become PM of Pakistan, but do not wish to talk about building schools to Swat!

In the end, only army got to build schools and guard Swatis.

Malala did stay in Swat with Sawatis during and after * for some time * the Taliban brief but cruel and barbaric rule . Should she have fought them all alone with weapons , right ? :azn: The girl tried her best with the " pen " for which she's in the limelight now . I am seeing wonderful logic in these threads by my dear countrymen .

Why exactly would a little girl who's already been threatened and nearly killed in an assassination attempt and then issued of death again if she ever returns to the country , return and help the people from here ?

She's already doing a good work whilst being safely outside the country with all the donations and International support for the women's education . But that isn't important for some , who will be paranoid and believe in conspiracy theories .

In simple words if she is right then she should be in Pakistan not a Western Country to propagate her believes.

Did you see the Taliban threaten to kill her , if she ever returns to the country ? Did you ?

What Malala stands for is good, but does she deserves a Nobel Prize...big no.

The west is using Malala to troll Pakistan.

She stood up for a girls basic right to education, and didn't stop there even when she was shot. How is the West trolling Pakistan? She got nominated to win a million+ dollars, and very possibly could have won.

Doesn't seem like trolling. However, If you ever get nominated for the Nobel Peace prize then yeah that'll be a good basis to claim the Nobel Peace Prize committee likes to troll.

Most of the country is already on her side. She's looking for additional support. Trying to get influential people involved that can help.

Unfortunately our country has people like you. Maybe that's why she's not around as much. If she were home I doubt you'd go greet her and give donations to her cause. People like you just like to sit back and complain about the people that're actually doing something with their lives.

Which would not have happened if Pakistanis had valued her in the first place. Currently she is being viewed as the equivalent of Veena Malik of sorts(as in how VM is seen in India) to her role in the west. But the west always finds poster pinups for their agendas;does that mean that this girl should be abandoned?
NO.

There is no evidence to suggest that it was the taliban, afterall the official line was it was the taliban, it was these same officials who said they werent comlicit in drone attacks but now we know better.

I never said taliban have a right to treat women like that, but why was there no such media attention given to them.

Believe what you must.

Do you live under a rock or something? Where do you get your news?
People hate the way the Taliban treat women. It's frequently on the news

Taliban publicly execute woman near Kabul - YouTube
The Taliban's War on Women - Afghanistan - YouTube
Women and the Return of the Taliban in Afghanistan - YouTube

Edit:
There are more videos, but they are so much more brutal I don't want to post their misery on here. I remember a while back there was a woman killed by the Taliban the entire country was angry. Another woman was beaten and the country was angry. You are a truly sad example of a human.

That is huge tragedy,Oscar
Sadly, there is a huge difference between Malala and Veena Malik...If we try to understand the context of such mindsets that in what sense they are trying to resemble Malala with Malik?then we will find out that Veena Malik insulted ISI by supporting Indian agenda and brought disgrace to image of Pakistani women, while Malala as claimed by such mindsets has brought 'Disgrace' to entire nation by supporting American interests.

But again,we are ignoring our own mistakes and this is what we do when we are unable to stop foreign influence,we scream,we yell, and we blame entire world for own own faults,I ask you,why strict action wasn't taken against Veena?why proper investigation wasn't taken against her?or If she claimed that FSH morphed her images then why the hell government didn't supported her?Why she wasn't interrogated at very first time for ISI tatoo?
and same goes with Malala..why can't we end this confusion for once and for all?why proper investigations about such claims were not carried out?

Our nation just blabbers like married women and is very fond of gossiping, but they never try to find out truth and best part is that our nation investigates, researches less and believes on wild conspiracy theories more. @Secur was right about mentality of such mindsets,I don't even feel pity on them!
If their claims against Malala is right, then show me the prove,I don't mind to accept my mistake and so do rest,it will not hurt our ego but their blabbering against a brave girl does.

NO.

Neither did I suggested she should be abandoned. She has great value for Pakistan, but I fear the way west is using Malala to point everything negative about Pakistan, she is gradually loosing her relevance for Pakistan to a point where she might not even be welcomed in Pakistan.

TTP is indo US product launched in 2006

Afghan Taliban regime was dismantled even before US invasion... carpet bombing of Afghanistan gave boost to Indian organ transplant industry.

Of course we hate today's Taliban and their masters and profiteers, but that's not the subject matter.

Indians once also bid for the noble prize for Mukhtar mai.

This is as simple as that.

In simple words she would be killed in Pakistan, she should stay where she is and propagate humanitarianism and women's right.

She is in more danger there. I sincerely feel sorry for the girl as sooner or later she will be abandoned and you never to even more by her promoters.
