Can anyone please enlighten me how do Taliban recruits people. Everyone knows that what ever they are doing is against the basic humanity and as learnt from my Muslim friends what they do on the name of Islam is a distorted and changed version. Then how do they convince people to such crimes ?

Details are pretty foggy as to how exactly they recruit people but recently, especially with the retaking of Swat, it has been discovered that the Taliban, being the true Muslims they are, kidnap children and teenagers, as they are easily brain-washed and are easily impressionable.

Before their capture of Swat they used to mainly come from seminaries where mostly illiterate used to force their narrow minded, perverted view of Islam on to the young children there.

But after the capture of Swat, they just started rounding up children and teenagers from Swat, forcing them to come with them and saying that Jihad was their 'farz' (obligation).


Sadly we have never given serious thought to education unlike India which is the prime reason we are facing this venomous curse spreading throughout our society.

I am not sure but I read somewhere that in text books of Pakistan India is taught as an enemy and each one should take the revenge of 1971? Not exactly the same words but they mean the same. But dont you think this would create more hatred towards the neighbors in the generations to come. I am not sure if it is true. Please enlighten me on this.
