wow, this could be one heck of a federation!:flame:
p.s Though sometimes some arabs cannot not really be trusted...

Look at poor Israel.

Honestly do you think you have used the correct term?

Mainly. These 3 countries cover most of the Muslim world and can work closely against the common enemies.

buddy Iran is backed by Russia and Turkey is a NATO member. Even an economic block is not visible in Future. I doubt that Americans might use Turkey to bomb Iran in the near future. Pakistan itself has many trillion issues. These things sound good during speech to gain vote.

Forget it. Gulf countries are ruled by monarchs who worship Uncle Sam. They can't be trusted, we saw that first-hand when we kicked the Americans out of Shamsi air base and UAE diplomat asked Pakistan to give it back to Americans, but they have to be slaves or else America might get rid of them like how they got rid of Saddam Hussein. Turkey, Iran, and Pakistan also have powerful militaries that Arabs don't have.

But it is indeed gulf where most Indians and Pakistan go for work, not Iran or turkey. When you speak about a block, forget strategic, why do you not see things in different perspective,.
With such nexus it will be Pakistan to suffer most.

Damn... just think how powerful it would be... PAK-TURKIYE-IRAN-KSA-UAE-EGYPT-INDONESIA-MALAYSIA-MORROCO-ALGERIA-JORDAN-AZERBAIJAN-KAZAKISTAN-TURKMANISTAN-UZBEKISTAN-AFGHANISTAN-BOSNIA-ETC ETC...

Such a block would be powerful enough to deal with any threat from NATO or any other block.

Most of the counties you mentioned are dependent on west for Military hardware

the Muslim Brotherhood is a fiction , even last time you people attempted such alliance it was a failure , this one if becomes a reality will be Major failure.there is nothing like Muslim Unity

I always have great admiration for the strong Pakistan-Iran friendship: it shows that the Sunni-Shia divide is nonsense.

Turkey is the last key piece of the puzzle, but it unfortunately it has disputes with Iran about the Kurds, Azerbaijan, Syria, etc. However, because the Azeris are Shia, this shows that the problem is not Sunni-Shia, but merely ethnic.

Hopefully Pakistan/Iran/Turkey can bridge their differences, because collective security among these key Muslim states would be a great deterrent to Western aggression.

Start off with Pakistan, Iran and turkey and see how the whole world will change

Coming to the topic. I do not think there would be any strategic nexus with Pakistan. After years the Middle east has come out of this ideology of extremism through revolution towards globalisation and wouldn'T want to degrade themselves more making high thoughts of Muslim Block, Muslim empire, etc...

Ignoring your attempt to link the word "Muslim" with "extremism" and "degrade", I will address the Arab Spring. Any kind of national cooperation, be it military or economic, would work a lot better between democracies with the support of the wider population, so the Arab Spring is a positive step for the Muslim cooperation.

The WoT is having a wonderful effect by opening people's eyes to the common enemy, which had been operating stealthily until now through dictators and autocrats.

Military blocks are a thing of the cold war era.

Creating one based on religion is even worse. In any case where is cohesion amongst Muslim nations and will there ever be any ?

If that happens,The first thing they will do is to free Xinjiang from china.

Well ok.

But before nations can cohere among themselves they will have to cohere within themselves.

Totally agree.

Most of these governments can't even govern themselves, let alone a federation. It's like the old dotcom joke, "we're losing money per unit sale, but we'll make it up on volume".

First focus should be to make Pakistan strong by itself.

Give it time. A few more WOT wars, a few more burqa bans, headscarf bans, minaret bans -- with the global media, word gets around.

Trade makes the world tick nowadays. No amount of burqa bans will ever consolidate the muslim countries. Money talks. They have to form an economic block first, the old ways of alliances are now not as effective.

Frankly, in another decade, i see India and Pakistan's economy becoming tightly coupled. That would also bring more complications. India is striving VERY hard for a south asian economic union.

And why would they chose Pakistan as the leader of Muslim block? Just because you have nuclear weapons? Pakistan's democracy is suffering and needs to be rebuilt. Pakistan is in no condition to look towards its economy and social welfare, since your policy makers are busy arguing each other whether to make an Islamic state, or an Islamic state run by Americans or bring Iran like khilafat against the west, which is not possible.

Erdogan: Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, Afghanistan have common future

ISLAMABAD/TEHRAN - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that Pakistan, Turkey, Afghanistan, and Iran have a common future, and the security of each country is dependent on the security of the others, but the enemies are creating problems for the four countries.

The Turkish prime minister made the remarks in Islamabad in interview with Hamid Mir, The News reported on Friday.

Erdogan said the United States was supporting some common enemies of Pakistan and Turkey and the time has come to unmask them and act together.

The Turkish prime minister insisted that Pakistan and Turkey must play a decisive role in the efforts to stabilize Afghanistan.

He said that both Pakistan and Turkey had suffered under military dictators who were always supported by the USA, politicians were hanged by military regimes in both countries, and both countries are fighting against terrorism nowadays.

“We have common problems and common solutions, military dictatorships have always created problems, and democracy is a common solution,” Erdogan noted.

Asked why no military dictator has ever been tried in the courts of Turkey and Pakistan, he replied, “I don’t support hanging any military dictator, but law must take its action against all those who abrogated the constitution.”

He also said that some foreign hands are supporting terrorists in Pakistan and Turkey directly and also through some NGOs.

Erdogan was very hard on the “double standards” of the USA and said that the Israeli attack on a Turkish ship of the Freedom Flotilla unmasked the so-called civilized face of Washington, which openly and shamelessly supported the state terrorism of Israel.

“Nine Turkish martyrs on the ship received 21 bullets from Israeli soldiers in their bodies. We provided post mortem reports and even the pictures to the EU and USA, but Washington is not ready to condemn the state terrorism of Israel against Turkey, which means that the USA is supporting international terrorists who killed our citizens in international waters.”

He said that the people of Pakistan should not fight with each other and they must concentrate on helping the 20 million flood victims. “Instability and infighting will only help your enemies, who are looking for an opportunity to use Pakistanis against Pakistanis.”

Turkey has sent “at least 125 million dollars of aid, both by the government and non-governmental organizations,” said UN Special Envoy to Pakistan Rauf Engin Soysal.

“We installed 2,000 prefabricated houses near Multan, and a total of 3,000 will be built,” the head of the Turkish Red Crescent, Omer Taslit, said.

“If you will not understand the evil designs of your enemies, then what will be the future of 20 million flood victims of Pakistan, who will help them if you start fighting with each other,” Erdogan warned.

“Pakistan is my second home, and I am concerned about the internal situation of my second home,” he added.

Asked what his advice would be to Pakistan about diplomatic relations with Israel, since Turkey has diplomatic relations with Israel, Erdogan responded very carefully, saying that “despite diplomatic relations, Israel never behaved like a civilized country with Turkey, and I cannot give any advice to my Pakistani brothers; it is their right to decide about making relations with Israel.”

He went on to say that Pakistan and India must resolve the Kashmir dispute by peaceful talks. “You need strong political will for resolving the Kashmir dispute,” he added.

Erdogan said Israel will “remain isolated” if Tel Aviv refuses to apologize for killing Turkish human rights activists, Press TV reported on Friday.

“Israel must apologize to Turkey and pay compensation. If it does not, it will be doomed to remain isolated in the Middle East,” Erdogan added.

US backing international terrorists: Turkish PM Erdogan

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said the US was supporting some common enemies of Pakistan and Turkey and the time has come to unmask them and act together.

In an exclusive chat with this correspondent in the presence of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, the Turkish prime minister very candidly answered critical questions not only about Turkey-Pakistan relations but also on some other important issues before leaving Pakistan on Tuesday night.

The Turkish premier said that the people of Pakistan should not fight with each other and they must concentrate on rehabilitation of 20 million flood victims. “Instability and infighting will only help your enemies who are looking for an opportunity to use Pakistanis against Pakistanis.

“If you will not understand the evil designs of your enemies then what will be the future of 20 million flood victims of Pakistan, who will help them if you start fighting with each other,” Erdogan warned.

He said that Pakistan,Turkey, Afghanistan and Iran have a common future, security of one country lies in the security of others but our enemies are creating problems for us. He said: “Pakistan is my second home and I am concerned about the internal situation of my second home”.

He insisted that Pakistan and Turkey must play a decisive role to stabilise Afghanistan. He said that both Pakistan and Turkey suffered from military dictators who were always supported by the USA; politicians were hanged by military regimes in both countries, and both the countries are fighting against terrorism these days. Erdogan said: “We have common problems and common solutions, military dictatorships have always created problems and democracy is a common solution”.

When asked why no military dictator has ever not been tried in courts of Turkey and Pakistan, he said: “I don’t support hanging any military dictator but law must take its action against all those who abrogated constitution”. Erdogan said that Pakistan and India must resolve Kashmir dispute by peaceful talks. “You need strong political will for resolving Kashmir dispute,” he added.

During the conversation of the Turkish prime minister with this scribe, Yusuf Raza Gilani also suggested a question that “what is the procedure for the appointment of judges in Turkey?” Erdogan explained the whole process in detail and said that Parliament has an important role for the appointment of judges in Turkey. “I am facing problems from the courts but I am sure these problems will be resolved.” After listening this answer a very meaningful smile appeared on the face of PM Gilani and he said that “everything will be resolved nothing bad will happen in Pakistan”.

Gulf monarchs might be slaves of the west but not the common Arab Muslim in those countries.

And don't forget most of the 9/11 hijackers were Saudis, Osama Bin Laden himself was Saudi. The Gulf rulers love the west, but not the people.

And why are indians so concerned if we want to make a union with Muslim countries to our west
