What's new

Chinese daily fears India may resume nuclear tests.

No one is afraid of India. The op-Ed was directed at the US. India is a third tier nuclear power. Explode a proper thermonuclear device and miniaturize it, then we may get goose bumps.

Tier 1: US, Russia
Tier 2: UK, France, China, Israel
Tier 3: India, North Korea

Israel only has boosted fission. It is on the level of Pakistan and India. North Korea is lower.

Bangladesh should go nuclear. Otherwise, it will forever live in the shadow of the elephant. A great injustice for 160 million people.

I like your way of thinking. Bangladesh has already opted for nuclear energy but the Russians are building the reactors. India is closley monitoring developments in this regard and probably intends to use the new energy to supply to the North East and the extra demand that will be generated from the transit facility. Bangladesh should not be in the shadow of India but acquiring nuclear weapons is not an option at this point or possibly ever. Bangladesh could do with tanks, fighter jets, frigates and other heavy weaponry to face Indian aggression. The problem is that the present government in Bangladesh is merely a puppet to New Delhi.

But Bangladesh government is elected by Bangladeshis not by India right? You can call them a puppet or a Joke.

The biggest reason Bangladesh should start working towards becoming nuclear. China is going to be best option for BD to not only get protected but also gets prosperous. How Striving for a strong defence by a country amounts to anti-India ???

China offers Bangladesh opportunities that India does not. China behaves as a good commercial, business and trade partner while India merely wants to enslave us and the rest of South Asia. I agree with the article that all neighbours should be wary about Indian maneuvers in the region. Presently I do not think nuclear testing poses the biggest threat to the region but the transit facility to the North East has the potential to cause a serious rupture in the strategic balance and is a definite threat to peace and security of South Asia. I do not think I exaggerate in this. If the present transit facility can carry 70 ton transformers to Ashugang than it can also carry tanks and APC's to the North East. This I believe is an immediate threat to the regional balance but is not being discussed anywhere.

So you are still around Goodperson. Your government tried to prevent me from accessing PDF, IDF and CDF but I found a way around that. Anyway I will enjoy arguing with you again after so many months away. To answer your question the AL could only come to power after having a quasi-military government installed for 2 years which crushed the BNP completely. India was behind the whole exercise and even bribed our idiot army chief with 6 horses.

You are more than welcome to try and bring nuclear technology to Tibet

Taiwan making nukes, haha... their plants are under constant supervision not only from IAEA but also from our internal spies. If plutonium is missing, we'd know, and they know we'll know, and they also know that by Chinese law (2005 Anti Secession Law, passed by the NPC), the PLA is legally obligated to eliminate nuclear weapons in Taiwan.

We are not talking about logistics here..but the intentions...Bangladesh doesn't even have nuclear reactor but you were ignorant to ask them to go nuclear.

Nice - just a reminder - China is the same country which tried blocking Bangladesh's entry into the UN

rofl rofl! the world fears China as a superpower while the superpower is fearing the slums? dont make me laugh! :D

Just a matter of fact..Russia will sell u Uranium and spent fuel will be taken back by Russia itself....

Bangladesh has a lot to worry about. The Indian threat to Bangladesh is not WMD's but direct interference and conventional weapons. A broader coalition against such aggression would deter Indian nuclear posturing and also its interfering in the internal affairs of its neighbours.
Some coalition can't stop Indian involvement it will continue for ever.

You people need to grow up and act like normal peaceable adults, nobody gives a crap about Kashmir. Move on.

Post of the year!

If Bangladesh wishes to nuclear we Indians have no problem, just so you know its not easy to become one in this era, take a look at Iran.BD cannot survive such sanctions even with China's assistance.
