Gaza-Israel Conflict | October 2023

In Iran the Foreign Minister doesn't make many decisions, he just reflects the government line. The IRGC makes their decisions and they only report to the Leader, not the government (former FM Zarif complained that the IRGC were undermining his efforts sometimes). So it's an important point but he doesn't speak for the IRGC / Quds Force

So can it be said the IRGC and the supreme leader have the final say on any foreign or military policy matters?

Correct, USA is in decline so they need to go to wars to prop itself up again, but this time it won't be that easy.
The "USA is in decline" statements are getting old. One must not be blind to speculation. You quoted a satire post by the way. One must check sources as well.

But it is logical to assume that World War is not in the best interests of all.

Greece doesn't have an alliance with Israel. We don't assist in any genocide, stop this nonsense.
Greece has taken more muslim land and killed and expelled more muslims than Israel has or ever will. I understand greeks were there first but still. this is a fact.

Yes, but they have plenty useful toys on disposal and if they are willing to share, it would be welcomed

Well what useful toys Russia has that can be transported to Gaza? The ones that can be sent to Gaza, Iran already has equivalent of those.

With the genocide taking place in Gaza, I think such genocides and mass murder shoud have their own thread. This should be reserved to conflict. like when one side fights another. Tactics, weapons, etc.

General mass murder, ritualistic religious inspired child murder with airforce, genocide, mass starvation inspired by 3,000 year old religious texts, etc deserve their own thread so that this one can focus on the actual fighting and political implications.

Of course (and the SNSC)

They generally respond to overwhelming public opinion but they are the ultimate decision makers (Leader and SNSC)

My guess:
1. Immediate goal is soften Gaza for urban warfare, send ground troops and eliminate Hamas. Not that different from U.S. actions in Iraq and Afghanistan
2. Long term plan is to prevent Hamas regrouping. Since tunnels were probably the mode of bringing weapons, Gaza will become a two dimensional place so that it can be easily surveiled.

I think, this war will be the end of West bank and Gaza and complete end of 2 nation theory, Palestine will cease to exist by March next year.
