Pradip R. Sagar: After the abrogation of Article 370 by the Indian government on August 5, 2019, the Jammu & Kashmir administration, over time, received investment proposals worth an estimated $2 billion from around 40 companies in sectors such as information technology, defence, renewable energy, tourism, skilling, education, hospitality and infrastructure. While the newly carved Union territory of J&K is on the path of development, Pakistani administered Kashmir languishes as an underdeveloped region.
In the past two years, the J&K government has achieved 100 per cent household electrification with 24x7 power supply for all. Household water connections have reached 43 per cent of rural households as compared to the national average of 56.84٪. A roadmap was prepared to ensure 100 per cent piped water supply to all 10,816 million rural households by December 2022.

Whereas India is implementing a number of projects in J&K to meet the needs of the post-Covid economy, Pakistani administered Kashmir has suffered significant budget cuts. There is widespread corruption besides China’s incursion into the region and use of land to advance its strategic goals. The Pakistani federal government has gone all out to placate China and is furthering Beijing’s economic corridor through Pakistani administered Kashmir.

Muzzafarabad, the capital of Pakistani administered Kashmir, cannot be compared to Srinagar or Jammu, the twin capitals of J&K. While Pakistani administered Kashmir has only two airports, J&K has four. In J&K, there are 35 universities compared to six in Azad Kashmir. Only 23 hospitals exist in PAKISTAN administered Kashmir, with questionable basic medical facilities, while 2,812 hospitals in J&K offer free healthcare to residents.

J&K has completed four new national highways projects while 10 new road and tunnel projects have got the nod from the Union ministry of road transport & highways under the Bharatmala project. Twenty-five road projects have either been completed or are nearly complete. Another four projects are likely to be completed by the end of the financial year.

For 2022-2023, the UT of J&K received a budget of $16 billion with the aim of boosting its economy
Power development received the highest allocation in the budget, which also places strong emphasis on education, housing and public health. J&K projects under the Prime Minister's Development Package have cost Rs 36,112 crore.

The budget for Pakistani administered Kashmir in 2021–22, on the other hand, was 141 billion Pakistani rupees ($511 million). According to Abdul Majid Khan, finance minister of Pakistani administered Kashmir, the federal government recently cut Pakistani administered Kashmir development budget by 5.2 billion Pakistan rupees, which he claims could cause serious imbalances in the financial system. Pakistani administered Kashmir ministers believe the federal government’s plan to reduce budgetary allocations may have uncontrollable effects on Pakistani administered Kashmir financial system and result in the area becoming poorer.

In a nutshell, Pakistani administered Kashmir remains way behind J&K, the main reason being that the ideology of India is development-oriented

This is like saying would you like to be a slave in a house or a free man trying to build your own home

Kashmir is a Muslim majority state, the whole purpose of partition was so we could separate from hindus and not be stuck under hindutva extremism

But they are free, that's the narrative Pakistan has been harping for seven decades. It's time for India to start psy op on Kashmiris, and run tv shows 24 x 7 on their crisis.

They should know that the other option is to be free to starve.

How wonderful.....
Sir should I post the videos of public demonstration in GB where people are openly asking the intervention of India
Don't try to act saint. We all know what is happening on other side of the LoC

Huge population and landmass difference in India Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan Azad Kashmir.

As per details from Census 2011, India Jammu and Kashmir has population of 1.25 Crores, an increase from figure of 1.01 Crore in 2001 census, maust be higher now.

Geographically, the administrative territory of Azad Kashmir (which excludes Gilgit-Baltistan) covers a total area of 13,297 km2 (5,134 sq mi) and has a total population of 4,045,366 as per the 2017 national census, that is 4.05 million.

Pakistan's side bigger area consists of Gilgit Baltistan which again is low populated with about 3 million people.

Thnk you...

Sir, What are your thoughts about Hongkong and Tibet?

Nothing about any Indian intervention just handfuls of people asking for independence. You get that in many countries, heck even here in the UK many Scots want out but not the majority.

Thnk you...

Sir, What are your thoughts about Hongkong and Tibet?

Hong Kong's people are ethnically and culturally identical to the mainland Chinese. There is no dispute there.
Tibet is different but what's the UN dispute there?
By partition Muslim majority areas should have gone to Pakistan. Yes the princely state rubbish but India ignore this with regards to several Hindu majority states.

It was Azad Kashmir

Azad Kashmir is my ancestral land....
This chap at the top was emotional but saying treasonous things which if others heard could have got him seriously hurt or worse. Do you remember your pilot landing in Azad Kashmir?

The second video is unverified and it says so clearly. I have not heard of this lady but that doesn't mean this didn't happen.

I can post up thousands of videos in response to the above. Your own army uses Kashmiris as human shields, disgusting. Yet here you show me a couple of videos of single people.

The biggest difference between the two is, no one is raping their woman, killing their young people, there are no cow vigilantes and they can practice their religion freely, in Ak, while in IOK all these things happen, now chose for urself which one is better.

Thank you, Sir

Here, I believe, are the arguments. Pakistan feels that since it has a largely Muslim population, it should go to Pakistan. We don't accept it because India has a largely same Muslim population..... And UN resolution is null since China, Pakistan and India - all shared the part of J & K.... UN can never force only India to follow it and India will never accept it.

So it will never be solved.

On topic:

The Congress party is mostly to blame for the underdevelopment of the border and northeast regions. Jammu and Kashmir has one of the most corrupt local parties; while they have enjoyed their time in office, they have not properly developed J & K.

Major growth has been taking place for the past three to four years, and the majority of the locals are benefiting. Example: This man, whose residence was in a border area, was only relieved to get electricity after 75 years of independence.

I hope, these areas will get all the basic facilities under MODi, We can't trust on Congress government.

The lie starts and ends right here.

Go onto Google and search for Mirpur AJK Hospital. You get about 50 results in 1 small city.

You can Google the results of the rest of the lies too.

AJK is one of the wealthiest parts of Pakistan thanks to expat money.
