Say what you will, but the Kashmir issue was legally settled at the time of partition. If Mr Jinnah had not accepted the accession of Hindu majority Junagadh into Pakistan, supported the Nizam in Hindu-majority Hyderabad in his quest and not encouraged the Hindu Maharaja of Hindu-majority Jodhpur to accede to Pakistan, then Pakistan might have made a claim on the principle that a Muslim majority princely state should join Pakistan. But that principle was set aside by Mr Jinnah himself because he considered Hyderabad to be more valuable than Kashmir. Kashmir, including the part under Pakistani occupation, is now legally a part of India.Kashmir is a Muslim majority state it will be free because living alongside the Hindus is intolerable
