Islamabad police arrest boy who posed in front of Quaid’s portrait in a vulgar photoshoot

How does Section 294 even apply here?
.Obscene acts and songs:
Whoever, to the annoyance of others, --
(a)does any obscene act in any public place, or
(b)sings, recites or utters any obscene songs, ballad or words, in or near any public place,
shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three months, or with fine, or with both.

Constitution was decided by the people of Pakistan
The problem is implementation and a system that was designed to rule passively instead of actively with bureaucrats that consider themselves as gods of earth and a judicial system that fights itself more than it fights crime

Do a referundum bro and see how many people support this system.

And what exactly would said beating actually achieve? Please do keep in mind that his dress meets the Islamic definition of "sattar" for a male.
And what is the Islamic punishment for homosexuality.

Pakistan will have to revisit its Leadership system, Law & Order system*, and Education system** in order to course-correct itself. Crimes; Immorality; Terrorism; Intolerance; these issues will continue to haunt our country otherwise.

Some of the former leaders of Pakistan have taught nothing but corruption to the masses unfortunately. Others were lacking in vision and busy fighting wars instead.

What YOU see across Pakistan in the present - please do not be surprised. This is what you get in a society that is lacking in direction and focus on real issues.

Pakistani Public in its current form, is not mature and educated enough to be left to its own devices.

*The colonial relic that this country have inherited is up to no good. This system gives much benefit of doubt and space to even hardened criminals. Those who are jailed, do not learn much in the end.

One of the criminals involved in the recent incident of rape in LDA Avenue Society in Lahore have served a jail term before. He learned nothing.

**Imran Khan is doing something in this regard. Good to see this.

Another good thing Imran Khan has done is that he brought both USA and Afghan Taliban to the negotiation table. COAS Bajwa also deserve credit in this matter. This is not to say that hardcore terrorists shall be shown leniency as well; some people are brainwashed to the extent that they are beyond salvation and should be caught and executed. Some fights can be necessary to fight at times.

The bigger picture for now.

Pakistani people are dumb, one day they'll want cammunism, the other day dictatorship, and after a while they'll try Talibans too

So referendums mean nothing, even more educated people in UK can come up with mistakes like Brexit

Some people should make systems, only those leaders should be elected by the people (and only because Pak is a multi-ethnic country)

Brexit is a policy change not a system.

No bro you are wrong. The divide has always been there. There was never a choice given. Majority adjusted with the system because they thought it catered to their religious moral cultural values, the faults never truely manifested. It is running out of age and events like these are tesring it to its limits, I am not seeing this as just an incident but rather a certain group maybe 1% of population constantly instigating and the current set of laws unable to act according to their standards.

You are seeing things from your own personal liberal point of view, not the effect when a tribeman or a rural Pakistani or even the moderate religious people see the vulgar image mocking our faith and the thought process that goes in their mind.

'BEHEYAE' is the term.

An unfortunate incident
This is what happens when the state machinery stops working
One way to prevents incidents like this is by having a state that actively engages with the people instead of passively
A state that acts on the complaints of its citizens prevents acts of civilian vigilantism

Yes, wasn't that the exact promise made to the nation for a Naya Pakistan?
What do you expect in a country where leaders strive for political gains and profits and have taught the same to others down the line? Where corruption has become a norm in dealings, and Islam is reduced to reading Holy Quran in Arabic at homes and the book is shelved afterwards?

Pakistani political system is rigged in favor of Elites (people having wealth and influence), and Law & Order system is shaped by Colonial practices. Go figure.

Both crimes and perversions have spread far and wide by now. Things are happening in every town and city. And Police is busy doing its typical Qanooni Karwai which does not fix anything.

And this is all by intentional design. That is perhaps the cruelest and the saddest part of it all.
Open your mind brother ... It only says that in your head. I understood the insinuation at the firsrt time but wat u wrote also insinuates sattar is clothing ... I dont have degree but command of Urdu English grammar syntax morphology balaghat mantiq and philosophy is way better then you would think.

Given your evident command of "Urdu English grammar syntax morphology balaghat mantiq and philosophy", do you agree that his dress covers him from navel to knees, as is the Islamic requirement for covering males?

And where is it defined what is "obscene" that falls under the ambit of this law?

Naya Pakistan is i guess the term you used to address the current governemnt. Infact its the opposite, this certain group is extremely against the current government. Infact its against the army, state aswell.

Infact this current government has caused the liberals to go rabid out of frustration, normally you would find them as PTM, PDM anti army mob. One of them even challanged the existance of state and called the state of Pakistan a needless assumption and out of date idea.

I dont think he is a juvenile

You may be correct here, but I was going by the word "boy" used in the title.

He is in his 20s. Juvenile?

Please see the above.
And what is the Islamic punishment for homosexuality.

And where is the proof of said homosexuality that meets the Islamic requirement of evidence to deserve said punishment?

Nonetheless, we still need to wait for the present term to end to judge the actual performance compared to the promises made.

There is no surprise here, in neither the incident, or its response, and the posts in this thread. All of it is only to be expected.
'BEHEYAE' is the term.

Please define that term in a legally applicable manner, thank you.

Sir i hope you see the contradiction in your post.

Even if the constituion is applied to its full, it does not instill fear. Both the lack of implementation and girly laws are the reason for the encouragement of this filth.
This is the root cause of our problem.

Both the constitution and its implementation. Not to mention the resistance and loopholes in the constitution itself that hampers its proper implementation. This kind feeds of and abuses these loopholes just like politicians do it to save their corruption.
Why do you feel there is contradiction in my post?
is it because of stressing that the law be applied in letter and spirit or that I am pointing that that the law is not effectively applied at all along with its punishments that leave ample room fore more heinous perpetrators to get away which lets this small fly think they can too?
Although in this case it’s more a case of stupidity versus any actual menace against Pakistani society.
Injustice against fringe elements will be ignored by the population and what outsiders think is of no value

Exactly this is why this culture of the 1 percent feeling like it is above the system needs to end and for that we need strong institutions and a judicial system that can resist pressure
So theoretically, if by chance you happened to be a fringe element in ten years because of your religious or ethnic identity - you will accept injustice happily?
Can you put yourself in a fringe group’s shoes - lets say a poor Hindu family in rural Sindh and then accept the injustice?

Nonetheless, we still need to wait for the present term to end to judge the actual performance compared to the promises made.

Bro i agree with you, but the topic is not about that.

Its the nationalistic debate that got these liberals triggered. They have always xonsidered them whiter than white with a preset anti state or anti religion thinking considering themselves superior, the type which can never be wrong and dont like being called out by logic or reasoning.

Pakistan is a broken society it understands the way of the stick not the hammer
That I agree - which is why the west’s standards(even those aren’t uniform) cannot be applied to it. Even the Saudi or Taliban laws wont work because those are different. Just as you won’t try amoxicillin to treat thyriod cancer.
