I am from, Kashmir, Mirpur, islamgarh. I very much doubt independent vote would be more then two three lakh i.e. 300K. Vast majority will choose Pakistan and i am Pakistani first and Kashmiri second. Anyone wanting indepedence in my books is a traitor and should be hanged.

Indeed. What the PM said is entirely right and principled. You can't ask of India if you yourself won't do it. The only way forwar to to honour the UN resolutions on the matter. If this is tall order.

But to expect Pakistan keeps it's portion and expect India to hold referandum in it's part is to live in cloud, cloud cuckoo land ....

Out of the dozens of indigenous languages spoken in Kashmir and GB, which one exactly qualifies one to be a Kashmiri? Also, is everyone who lives in Kashmir an ethnic Kashmiri? If not, then are ethnic Kashmiris the only ones qualified to speak on behalf of Kashmir? Does every ethnic Kashmiri speak Kashar?

A punjabi speaks punjabi, a Gujarati speaks Gujarati, likewise a Kashmiri speaks kashmiri. A Baltistani will speak Balti, a Jammu guy will speak Dogri.

Hindi might not be their mother tongue but a huge majority speaks. Many are there who preferred their local languages.
