Turkish Peace Operations in Syria (Operation Olive Branch) Updates & Discussions

The Turks have basically fortified Idlib.

Look at this in this recent skirmish they occured heavy casualties. Pretty pathetic.

Most likely going to regroup and attack again.

Fortified does not mean it can't be taken. Now Turkey faces Greece and Cyprus in northern Cyprus, Iran and Russia in Syria, Egypt and France and UAE and KSA in Libya, Russia in Armenia / Azerbaijan, KSA and UAE in Iraq, Assad has good opportunity to grad land in Idlib considering how stretched Turkish army is.

You act like we're at war with all those countries. We're not.

They are frozen conflict but should the opportunity arise they will become hot war. For example, Serbia and Kosovo, North Korea and South Korea, China and Taiwan, or the former Crimea conflict between Russia and Ukraine which was resolved in 2014 with an invasion.

You choose to see black, thats ok. But eventually most conflicts will still be frozen or solved. We've been closer to war a dozen times with Greece and nothing happened.

There is rumor Egyptian air force EC-130H electronic jamming planes may participate in Idlib battle, as well as Russian air force A-50U AWACs. Anyway, the coming Idlib battle will be far bigger than any previous Idlib battles.

What are you talking about Rebels beaten back Assads advance.

Turkish artillery and intelligence support played a role in beating these attacks. Just for a skirmish the assad regime lost 40 soldiers this includes Igrc elements.

It seems now Turkey is not going to give it up. Also russia called off the attack because no advance could be done. shows us once again who calls the shots its Russia. Syrian army shpuld mainly be called proxy of russia. They are listening to russian orders rather than their own.

SAA is Russia auxiliary army. Syria is Russia's colony. I think everyone is aware of this. Though not officially, Syria is part of Russia.

In the current world, small weak countries don't have sovereignty. Only a few super powers have sovereignty.
